Economy Trump's April 2nd Tariffs

Let's say a candidate or party was to get national healthcare passed. The assumption would be if they got something like that passed then there would be other changes as well including the gun laws. So if he got what he wanted in national healthcare but it came with a change in gun laws would he vote for a Dem or a left Party?

I would consider it

The second ammendment is strong and it might survive said administration so the risk might be worth it

Which party do you think would fully terminate the pitiful Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, Pell grants and social security we even have now if given the chance?

The Republicans but I don't think they can do it at the moment and that leaves the door open for the democrats to ....be fucking fdr

No, nobody is saying you should vote Democrat no matter what.

When the opponent is Donald Trump however, then yeah, vote Democrat.
Depending on the context I would say that at the state and local level there's a good argument for voting GOP over Dems.

But Trump is a uniquely bad candidate. If someone voted GOP up and down the ballot except for Trump that I could understand much better.

Consider? I am so interested to know what is your hesitation? I mean you got what you wanted hypothetically.

I'm suffering too

But I'm doing it for all of us is kind of how I see it. It needed to be done like when dad has to be the one to take the sick beloved dog to be put down. There will be joy and a new puppy on the future but there will be shitty days for a while first.

And I was joking with Pete with that Comment I'm aware of how a message board works but you guys are coming at me so thick I can't even respond to you all.
I get messaged bombed on here all the time man. I get it. It sucks.

I'm sorry bud that's some abusive parent/spouse logic there lol. "I'm beating you for your own good! You'll thank me later!". You gotta seperate yourself from your position to see why people are reacting the way they are. The stance you're taking is genuinely wild.

I fucking hate Dems. Have for a looong time. Same with Republicans. Both are incompetence incarnate. But I'm not gonna vote the worst possible option out of spite to prove a point. Nor am I gonna vote blindly for the blue or red person. There is a level of nuance to this that, respectfully, you skipped. From my perspective, you're making an emotionally driven over correction based of genuine frustration.

Seems like a no. Which means that he is voting the 2A, not national heatlthcare.

Of if we saw this as a transaction, voting Demo would have gotten moderate chances of national healthcare and not much in 2A infringement given the composition of courts and Congress. Voting GOP got you no chance of national healthcare and not much for 2A since again, the courts are already conservative.

What's your definition of national healthcare?

And it's not binary, parts of the party support it, whereas almost no Republicans do. Your vote is wildly illogical.

Straight up funded by taxes and whatever else we can do to create the revenue to fund it . No one gets a bill and we create the best healthcare system in the world. Maybe legalize the weedo maybe end the drug war completely and use those taxes on other narcotics as well. Maybe some tariffs can help too.

Also the government to get involved and start importing migrant doctors and sending kids to school tax funded to be doctors and nurses and what not to staff thos system.

Big fuckin government

That's bullshit and it's just a way of saying have your protest vote but still help us win anyway.
No. It's saying stand for what you actually believe. I have never voted for the main candidates because I refuse to compromise my beliefs to placate a horrid norm. The 2 party system is trash and spite voting red isn't going to change that. The system would be far better if everyone voted for their actual beliefs instead of parties who barely check some of your boxes

This is why I think it's completely impossible for Democrats to consistently win elections in this country. I can't imagine the frustration of being a democrat and navigating this electorate lol.
It’s utterly maddening. Apparently the message I was supposed to get when they elected a dude who’s tanking the economy and disappearing motherfuckers off the street is “you fellows haven’t quite done enough for health care.”
I can’t even.

Guess which of the two parties is doing more to block weed regulation.

That's unfortunately an AMA problem, they're touch bastards to get around. But again, you are literally voting opposite your interests and encouraging more blocking of your policy preferences.

It’s really frustrating. Like, why is it our fault that other people don’t know things?
I feel really conflicted about it, honestly. On the one hand, I want it to be easier to vote, and I wish every legal voter would show up to vote.
At the same time, if someone doesn’t know wtf they’re voting for, they should either learn or stay the fuck home.

Can I trade in my fellow Americans for a new set who won’t tank my retirement savings because they’re scared of trans people?

I’m just being honest, but this hasn’t made me want to reach out to you guys any more. It’s made me livid AF that you guys will be so vindictive as to elect a dude who is killing my retirement savings, seriously hurting the company I work for and made us afraid of layoffs, and has me scared to death that he’s going to tank everything my already-retired, widowed mother has built in her life.

The message I’m receiving is that conservatives’ cruelty knows no bounds, and that you oppose my political views so much that you’re willing to take it beyond normal politics and try and destroy people’s lives.
You realize my post was a joke on people who would rather be poor than have trannies in bathrooms, right?

The hyper partisan Republican Supreme Court can do whatever it wants, and Democrats are powerless to stop them

Well then I guess they need to do something to win Bigly and get some kind of mandate going huh

No I'm voting for the democrats to change and be a much more palatable party in the near future so that maybe they can actually do it

Kamala Harris wasn't going to. Maybe the next one will

Retarded is possible. My 7th grade English teacher thought I was special needs and talked to me like one. but she later called my mom and was informed that I was supposed to be normal

Cynical I can't help, that's just my personality

Uninformed? Perhaps in some subjects, but the overton window has changed so much in the last five years that I would need you to be more specific.
Well for example, Trump ran on these stupid tariffs which presumably we all agree are really bad and yet many of his voters are acting surprised even though tariffs were his signature economic policy on the campaign trail. To me that's being uninformed.
I hate what he's doing

But no I'm not

In my opinion the democrats need to change and they aren't going to change without being forced to.
You don't think the GOP needs change? You haven't noticed the dark turn they've taken under Trump's leadership? We're less than 100 days into his second term and we're staring down the barrel of a constitutional crisis and a recession.
I'm sorry dude I really am. But I just can't do the vote blue no matter who any more and I'm tired of feeling disrespected and taken for granted by my own party. I'm not a traitor and to me I am taking a difficult but necessary position
"My own party"

You consider yourself a Democrat? And you voted for Trump? Why not vote third party or stay home at that point?
