On some things, sure.

The UK will seek to reduce tariffs on cars.

Other countries, too, will put forth targeted, surgical suggestions that suit them. The rest of the stuff? The United States will be told to go kick rocks. This admin is too stupid to target their tariffs today, so it's certainly going to be too stupid to unpick them tomorrow.

It's a bit like the DOGE stuff. A blunt instrument for fine tuning.

I think the other issue is that because America swings so violently left and right at the moment that even if the Dems get in next time and decide to get rid of the tariffs it's hard to trust that it won't switch again and be back in force in four years.
