Negotiate what exactly? Trump considers trade deficits as unfair trade,
Why are you still buying into the lie that so many had blanket tariffs, and that the answer to that is to impose heavily disproportionate amount of tariffs.Okay.
But when the entire world has blanket tariffs on us do you feel the slightest bit disadvantaged?
Acknowledge your point on trade deficit vs tariffs.
Take one example, say the automobiles. Are we playing on a level field?
Wait what's the story here?bro, you sold your house to live on a depreciating asset..
Countries are willing to negotiate.
To be honest though its the truth that a lot of countries DO have very high tariffs on US goods, the issue really its more that this isn't some situation were they are exploiting the US but rather US policy since Reagan. Why are you still buying into the lie that so many had blanket tariffs, and that the answer to that is to impose heavily disproportionate amount of tariffs.
It's been demonstrated that the supposed tariffs from other countries was actually a % of the trade imbalance. And then those who did not have a negative trade deficit with the U.S were given a blanket 10% tariff.
I'd invite you to look into these facts. Trump is peddling lies, and these tarifs along with severe unpredictability caused by this administration is possibly going to cause a world recession.

I don't think there's a strategyWhat I don't get is the mixed message narrative he is sending with (Tariffs are here to stay vs. We are going to negotiate for preferable deals).
The latter completely undermines the premise of the former - if you are genuinely convinced that tariffs are a long term strategy to reform American manufacturing, then you can't suddenly say "We can strike a deal on tariffs with other countries". What manufacturing industry would invest the billions of dollars in domestic infrastructure if they thought that the tariffs were simply a means of negotiation.
You can't have it both ways. Either you believe this is an effort to transform the way trade is done, or you acknowledge that this is a strategic play to negotiate preferable trading arrangements.
They always have been. Nothing changed.Countries are willing to negotiate.
That is currently the lead story on Fox.Who said the twitter user is the source?
He posted a link. The story is from this
You should apologize for insulting me. I don’t expect you to. But you should. It would be right

Trump is setting the global economy on fire, they're trying to take his matches away.
Drill baby, drill?Donald probably has a lot of folks in his ear right now to strike some deals before its too late. The US will be economically flattened in a few years is my prediction if they pursue the trade war. From what I've read they simply cannot do it alone, isolation is dangerous.
Low intelligence, vile and spite ridden yesCan we finally admit what's been true all these years? Trumpists are low intelligence, vile, spite ridden, inferior human beings.
Low intelligence, vile and spite ridden yes
But even then i don't want to call them inferior humans
We are all one, I hope for them some common sense to wake up
Drill baby, drill?
