Economy Trump's April 2nd Tariffs

If words are too hard for you then pull up any chart and see for yourself. March 5-March 14 was all down. Give it up bud.

It's not a gotcha. It's more of an indication that your opinion is worth nothing. I don't take you seriously at all.
Was there or was there not a 600 point rally on March 5th?

Major stock indexes closed sharply higher Wednesday as investors reacted to new developments on tariffs and digested fresh economic data.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 each gained 1.1%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite added 1.5%, as stocks recovered from a sluggish start to today's session. The major indexes were coming off of two straight days of steep losses amid concerns about the potential impact of recently imposed tariffs and broader worries about the health of the U.S. economy.

I should be paid to read some of the progressive powederpuff submissive bullshit I read on here all day.
It's like the left has stockholm syndrome. It's either that or they truly want to see America continue to collapse just to own the chuds.

So why is it cool for you to tariff us when we don't tariff you and we're actually in a trade deficit with you?

Keep trying to jam that bad joke through.

It is something akin to that. Self loathing. Edginess gone awry. Its gross, whatever it is.

Hmmm...I'm confused on the juxtaposition of getting currency manipulative countries to appreciate their currency while also softening it against the US dollar. Need clarification.

But the 3 big take aways being congress has no say on tariff revenue allocation (only tax); is this true?

Trumps penchant for individual negotiations over multinational (demonstrably true)

and the possibility of favorable treasury deals / allowing an increase of foreign dollars into the US system.

The president can only impose tariffs due to the powers granted to the office by congress. Congress still controls the purse.

South Korea imposes a 54% tariff on US agricultural products.

Right now, South Korea’s tariffs on imported agricultural goods average 54 percent, compared to the average 9 percent levied by the United States on the same kinds of imports. South Korea’s average tariff on non-agricultural goods is more than twice that of the United States – 6.6 percent compared to our 3.2 percent.

This article doesn't seem to have a date but mentions Obama, so its not new.

And still think a trade deficit is being "used".
Sorry a country of 30m people doesn't need as many things as a country with 300m people.

It's just common fucking sense.
And also, from an America first perspective, why wouldn’t we want to buy cheap stuff off the backs of cheap labor from other nations to support our lavish consumerism lifestyle?

Why should we go backwards to low paying factory jobs to make expensive goods for ourselves?

When did we start talking deficits? I thought we were talking about tariffs. Deficits are a different discussion.
