I'm glad I moved all of my crypto into USDC 2.5 weeks ago. I had a feeling all markets would start deteriorating.

In the plus side, we may have some BTC buying opportunity in a few months.
Damn good move man!

It just seems like he's gaslighting himself into believing supporting Trump was a good idea.
I don't even think it's like that. If you supported Trump I have no clue why you wouldn't be ecstatic after a month of his presidency. He has delivered on his promises. I just think there is a need to tell oneself that the majority agrees with you. I think on border issues most of the United States probably does agree with Trump, although not to the dehumanizing and cruel degree to which his supporters might think. On DEI and DOGE I think the majority disagrees with Trump but it might be close. Like I said, Trump is a pretty unpopular president but beloved by his base. I just get annoyed when that base argues he is universally loved or very popular when all evidence points to the contrary.

That's what I mean with the gaslighting, they have to convince themselves their weird adoration for Trump is warranted by seeking widespread public approval. And when it's not there the poll is fake, woke, liberal, whatever.

It just wasn't looking good this year for me. Alt season wasn't coming and the main reason is because there just isn't liquidity this go round. I didn't see inflation coming down because of Trump's tariffs and certainly didn't see rate cuts or qe anytime soon.

Sadly, the only thing I felt that will start the liquidity train up against is a significant slow down first. When there's trouble, the first thing to sell off is risk on assets.

Reuters/ipsos had Kamala +1 with a margin of error of 3. Trump won by +1 which is within that error. You don't need to lie.

I might be wrong for Reuters sponsored Ipsos polls but Ipsos do several polls for multiple outlets similar to YouGov…so I can easily be mixing up sponsors that would consistently have Kamala ahead well outside the margin of error. Perhaps that was for ABC that would release the +6 Harris.

Same pollster.

YouGov was worse. They would flood 538 with 7 different Harris +3 or 4’s a week…and they would add them all.

Which is why RCP is a better aggregate and they have Trump at 50 percent.

Not that it’s really anything to watch for anyway as it won’t impact what the admin does or does not do since Trump isn’t up for re-election.

Here it comes @Deorum. Welcome to the dark side.

I thought that dude had requested his own ban with the entire account scrubbed? Where the fuck did he come from, lol. I love getting dunked on and put in my place by essie, though. 😝

You're wrong. CGIS does not do polling. CGIS = Center for Government and International Studies. HarrisX/Harvard Polls are by Harvard CAPS which = Center for American Political Studies. CAPS is ran by Mark Penn who has supported Trump and RDS in recent years. It is not left leaning.

The final IPSOS polls that you said Harris ahead by 30 points had Harris up by 2 with a 3 point margin of error. Trump won the popular vote by 1 point. This isn't going to work.

I don't think you know what you're talking about here.

They aren't separate entities: CAPS is a department under the CGIS, and polls are not the only thing they take part in. I'm not saying "left-leaning" as some kind of intended insult here. How would the mere framing of a question manage to skew the numbers so emphatically? Penn must have mystical powers.

It just seems like he's gaslighting himself into believing supporting Trump was a good idea.

I didn't vote for Trump, but I certainly would've if I had known this was going to happen. But Could've, Should've, Would've. Thank God, I Didn't.

The amount of grace that earns him from me is considerable, but the GOP as a whole is and remains dog shit until proven otherwise.

Congress won't do shit. Republicans will likely be able to get additional funding to ICE and CBP through the budget reconciliation procedure that only requires a simple majority to pass the Senate, and that's only because DJT is going to strong arm them into doing so. The GOP is dog shit, collectively good for nothing but sitting in their cuck chair: border security and illegal immigration are campaign issues they don't actually care about solving.

And the only relevance approval ratings really have is the potential impact on Vance's chances for 2028.

People are waking up. More and more people who voted for him are realizing him for exactly what he is. Hopefully they can remember that shit for more than 24 hours.

I am still waiting for cheap 7 dollar a dozen eggs and less then 3.15 a gallon gas.

It's kind of weird you're playing stupid about how framing polling questions matters.

If you ask people if we should reduce corruption and waste in government almost no one will say no.

But if you ask them specially how they feel about Musk doing it or DOGE itself, the polling is lower than Trump's.

Here it comes @Deorum. Welcome to the dark side.

The "dark side" here is believing America is a sovereign nation-state, supporting border security and the enforcement of its territorial integrity, wanting illegal migrants deported en masse (with a heavy priority placed on violent criminals) and utilizing the most robust military force in the world to augment the incredibly challenging work of the USBP and USCG in carrying out its core mandate and purpose of national security. Those are my positions, and they are utterly uncompromising.
