Funny thing, i don't know if you know john shrek mcphee, who's an ex very well known delta, and he's a legit psycho but quit smart and amusing. He was on rogan before Trump got elected and it was the time that Donnie was threatening to send the special forces against the cartels and rogan was all giddy about it. and good old shrek said something like i dunno, if this happens immediately there will be leaks to the cartels from the us institutions and they'll know our guys are coming.

Maybe he can bring the housing prices down but for everything else the MO will be keeping prices the same while wages increase. Nobody can reverse inflation.

I agree, and we wouldn’t want to reverse inflation too much anyhow. You can bring prices down a bit, but you don’t want to enter a period of deflation, as that’s actually worse than inflation. The way to attack it is on the wage side of things, and during Biden’s term, wages increased 19% on average and did eventually get ahead of inflation.

Thing is, an economic strategy with a ton of tariffs on a bunch of countries and a ton of products isn’t going to help things. It’s very difficult, for example, to keep housing prices stable if you put a big ol tariff on imported Canadian lumber.
