Falling up. I've seen it professionally, it's wild to see it on the world stage
I learnt it during my uni graduate days. It's not what you know. It's who you know. Your GPA and interviewing skills didn't mean much. The brightest and the best often times get overlooked when it comes to those serious high level jobs. What mattered the most is the connections, whose dad or uncle you knew and who could get you that position through handshake deals.
That's the way the world works unfortunately
