@glenwo2 You wrote "This is not real, imo.

It looks as FAKE as a Porn Star's Boobs. (except a Porn Star's Boobs looks better than this crappy letter with poor grammar.)" in response to Trump's letter to Erdogan.

If it's real will you disavow Trump? Or was it so embarrassingly dimwitted that you can't bring yourself to believe it, but if it's true, it's really not that bad now that you think about it?

I don’t really care about the Kurds or anybody in the Middle East. I’m totally cool with letting the Middle East bang amongst themselves. We haven’t stopped anything in the long run so why give a fuck?

Because we've asked the Kurds to fight with us and have a moral obligation to not leave them to die.

The time is never going to be "right" for a US pullout (see Obama and Iraq). There's always going to be some battle left to fight. That's what the "war machine" relies upon, endless conflict.

Much like with Vietnam, sometimes you just have to count your chickens. There's nothing to gain here for the United States.

Aren't these two very different topics being thrown together?

The Ukraine megathread was about Trump and Bill Barr trying to compel foreign investigations into domestic political rivals and institutions, while this is about a foreign policy decision that has little to do with that topic.

Because we've asked the Kurds to fight with us and have a moral obligation to not leave them to die.

It's also in the long-term interests of the United States both in attracting future partners (who can trust we won't leave them high and dry after they carry our water) in trade, war, etc. Of course, Trump and Republicans generally have no concept of the long-term.

Is there a way to edit the thread title? {<shrug}

You can’t define other people mortals.

Asked the Kurds to fight ISIS?

You still trying to tell that lie, or we admitting we were supporting the Kurds to overthrow a legally recognized leader of a country?

If we were telling anything close to the truth, we would admit the two are very much connected.

The Ukraine impeachment is happening because Trump pulled us out of Syria according to this tin-foil covered CT'er, with two thumbs.

Let's keep this thread about Trump's inviting the involvement of foreign governments in his election campaign.
The upcoming events are Sondland's testimony.
Recent events were the arrest of David Correia in relation to campaign finance violations.

The impeachment proceedings would be happening regardless of Syria.

Syria does have an impact on GOP unity in defending the President though.

And it also might be revealed that Trump's foreign business/political interests motivated his actions in Syria

That's idiotic
