Crime Trump-Ukraine Megathread v4

Reality check, it coming to light that the “whistleblower” went to democrats first (which I’m pretty sure you are no longer legally a wb) makes it a political dud.

Yes it will rule up the base.
Yes it will be a month of headlines.
Yes it will be replaced by the next headline.

But, no, you’ll still be stuck with Trump.

But everything detailed by the whistleblower has been confirmed by the White House's own transcript and the President's own lawyer.

This is also fake news, the WB went to the ICIG first and only went to the house after the DNI sat on it per the DOJ's guidance.

Their defense isn't that none of this happened, it's that they did it and so what.

Do you think it's good that the president withheld essential aid that was approved by Congress in exchange for campaign help? Is it generally good that our foreign policy is being crafted with the intention of helping the president win re-election rather than in the interests of the country?

Obviously, if it weren't someone you perceive to be on your "team," you would not defend such an egregious abuse of power or dishonestly frame it as "asking them to looking into corruption."

You frame it in a narrative not proven. In fact, Trump speaks of European help on the call and never mentions withholding aid. Zelensky also said he nor his administration never felt pushed. So you are putting your tribalistic spin on it and going against what was actually said and what the Ukrainian leader is saying.

Meanwhile Biden is on video confessing to an actual QPQ but since he is on your team it is as if it never happened.

Stop trying to criminalize politics because of your hatred for one side. It is not good

Where is the proof that that is the reason the aid was withheld? I didn't see it mentioned in the transcript.

Nope. The WB went to the house before even filing the complaint

It was not in the transcript. In fact, another reason was mentioned in the call.

But his hate for this man will make him believe the worst no matter what evidence to the contrary is given

He was withholding aid. That's background information. And, no, if Biden had done something similar, it would get the same result. Not everyone is as fanatically partisan (to the point of abandoning their own morals) as you are.

You're playing dumb. The aid was withheld, and then in a call (that disturbed several members of his own team), he asked for help.

"Yes, my client is on video pushing the victim out the window, but you can't prove that the push actually was what made him fall. He was probably suicidal."

Er, no one was asking for a donation or free services. A campaign can pay a company that employs foreigners for services. :) You're deeply confused about the issues being discussed here.

Jack, your partisan side is showing again.

So now your theory of this law is that if Trump paid Russian hackers to help in '16 it would have been ok? We both know better.

Btw, what excuses do you have for Schiff trying to get the pee tape from the Ukrainians and for DNC staff calling Ukraine for dirt on Manafort? At leadt Clinton had enough sense to claim it was a wayward law firm (who coincidentally worked for her) making a mistake.

Nope. The WB went to the house before even filing the complaint

Even if true it doesn't mean that the complaint doesn't line up perfectly with the transcript and other materials that have been released since.

Rudy and Trump confirmed it themselves.

I'll take it since your current posts are void of anything of substance and are reduced to just screaming Dumb and stuff. Well, I'll take it as you are tapping out on this one

And yea, Bidens video confession is the exact definition of a QPQ. But I do think it's stupid to go after him over something that is or at least was very common in the past.

If that's the case it doesn't make it a dud, it would just remove whistleblower protections, you're talking like the transcript and text messages don't exist.

No. It just means politics were on the mind of the WB.

As for lining up perfectly, yea not really when you consider the WB note to his self after hearing of the call. And definitely far from perfect in regards to the leaked PROMISE we were promised

Political affiliation doesn't matter if they claims are accurate. Trump and his staff confirmed it for accuracy.

Breaking news!

Phone call was actually third hand knowledge. WB was informed of call by an aid of someone with first hand knowledge of the call. That person will make for good headlines but will likely not come as a huge surprise to most in the WR

This is a bullshit post in it's entirety.

Lol. What? That he had a call with Zelensky? Come on

It does matter that a supposed WB visits a partisans staff before even filing the complaint

It really smell like the Kavanaugh debacle

Jack, your partisan side is showing again.

If you think that posting objectively true claims that upset Republicans is "partisan," that illustrates the top problem with American politics today.

So now your theory of this law is that if Trump paid Russian hackers to help in '16 it would have been ok? We both know better.

Um, hackers? You mean if he paid them to illegally hack into private communications? No, that would not be OK or legal.

And we're not talking about "my theory" of the law. It's a straight-forward thing, which is why no action was taken on the Fusion thing. There was no crime even alleged.

No excuses are needed. As I said, you're seriously confused about the issues involved here.

I'll take it since your current posts are void of anything of substance and are reduced to just screaming Dumb and stuff. Well, I'll take it as you are tapping out on this one

:) Yeah, I didn't think you'd be able to answer the question.

And yea, Bidens video confession is the exact definition of a QPQ. But I do think it's stupid to go after him over something that is or at least was very common in the past.

"Confession"? He's not doing anything wrong there. What was the "QPQ"? And it has never been common to illegally conduct American foreign policy in the best interests of the president personally rather than the country.

Republican support for impeachment is up to 28%, general support is over 58%.

Trump will be impeached for certain but he might also be removed from office around the Holiday season at this rate.

Who will be the Scott, Goldwater and Rhodes of the Republican Senate?
Impeached but not removed, the likelihood is remote.

The complaint isn't about him having a call, it's about what was on the call.

Which he and Rudy both confirmed.
