Yet another laughably inaccurate description, how cute. First, I'm not American so, conned by whom, and when? Second, I'm doing just fine, and it seems likely I'm not going to be drastically affected by the relatively massive down turn in the US economy that is only a matter of time in coming. Third, it's not sensible to think Trump is worthy of the office of POTUS, so whatever you mean by sensible posters, they're likely the same group that projects all their dishonesty onto me on a daily basis so I interpret it as apathetic selfishness.

I'll give you a bit of credit, though. Some of them don't need any prompting but it looks like you need something to reflect off of before you start projecting.

I have to admit, I don't have a clue what con you're talking about, unless you mean the "Russia Investigation". The Trump family provided more than adequate probable cause to investigate. Whether or not it resulted in a conviction of any of them doesn't make it a con. Now Trump is on record extorting a foreign power for personal gain. If you are trying to say it still won't be enough to get him out of office since the Republicans hold the Senate, perhaps so. But with the use of the word con, it actually sounds like you're saying the Democrats are only pursuing this for their own gain and nothing inappropriate actually happened and that's just plain silly.

Look, a cop doesn't need an excuse to put the screws to a suspect. We are all basically OK with that as long as kept in bounds. When a cop uses his office, to put the screws to his ex-GF, we used to all agree that is illegal, and we don't tolerate it.

Now, motive for withholding the aid is the key element here. I am not an expert of American-Ukrainian relations. Perhaps Trump wanted Ukraine to change a trade policy that he thought would hurt Americans, thus was why he was withholding aid.

We don't really need to go int hypothetical land here to get an analogous example. Obama had the IRS investigate Trump and none of you gave a shit.

It wasn’t the same, as I clearly pointed out. Maybe take your Trump goggles off and look at it objectively.

Surely you’d be ok with at least investigating it if you weren’t ok with it and felt there was wrongdoing. Right? Would you just say “Oh well, it’s wrong but whatever. There should be no repercussions.” Even if Obama freely admitted he broke the law? You don’t think that would merit looking into further? Because that’s where we are. An impeachment inquiry is an investigation.
