Trump to pardon Dinesh D'Souza.

Probably not, but the sentencing is unmatched under similar circumstances. I would acknowledge the same oddity if it was a democrat.

How was his sentencing unmatched?

Because of his plea they dropped the charge that carried a potential sentence of 5 years in jail.

The crime he plead to had a maximum prison sentence of 2 years, the sentencing guidelines for him in particular were 10-16 months in prison.

He received no jail time.

I mean....I guess it's good? That he doesn't realize how historically corrupt the actions for which Blago was sentenced are?

I grew up in IL and the guy's corruption was for real legendary.....and that says something to be legendary for corruption in Illinois.

From the O'Donnell case:

"Both donors and candidates are legally liable for contributions over the limit. But it’s unlikely O’Donnell or her benefactors will be penalized for breaking FEC rules. Contributions over the limit can be refunded or counted toward a different election, and married donors can attribute the money to a spouse.

“Donors are rarely fined for excess contributions and then only if they are hiding the donations from the recipients,” prominent D.C. campaign finance lawyer Jan Witold Baran said. “Campaigns generally are not penalized for isolated contributions over a limit. However, multiple excessive donations may lead to an investigation … Fines could result in such cases.”

O’Donnell is also a prolific local political donor, putting up at least $25,100 for city and state candidates since 2000, New York filings show. Last year she gave a maxed-out $4,950 donation to Mayor de Blasio. In 2006 O’Donnell even gave $1,000 to former Westchester County DA and then Republican state attorney general candidate Jeanine Pirro, now a Fox News host and loyal Trump defender."

It's normally is a slap on the wrist and, sometimes, a fine.

He spent the night every night for eight months in a work release facility.

He knowingly laundered the money into the campaign and manipulated the candidate to lie on her campaign finance disclosure forms.

Do you understand the difference between making donations over the limit and knowingly laundering the donations as well as convincing a campaign to lie in their finance disclosure forms?
Ignorance of the law is not an excuse my friend. Knowingly speeding at 75mph vs not knowing the speed limit was only 65mph are no different. But I guarantee you Rosie will not see a judge and court...hmmm gee wonder why that is...

Pardoning Blagojevich? Are you fucking kidding me?

That guy and people like him are some of the greatest threats to democracy, much much more so than an illegal immigrant, and there will be idiots with Trump's cheeto in their mouth who applaud the pardon.

Is this a serious post?

I'm not arguing his innocence. The sentencing was harsher than the norm. That's all...

Just as Rosie's case defines, people often over donate and the campaign either returns the money or diverts it to another campaign. Obama's campaign excepted millions in illegal donations, neither diverted or returned it and was only fined. (many others too, on both sides of the isle) Then there are the unions....
When you really look in to how the justice system has historically handled these matters it definitely seems harsh. They are cracking down these past couple of years though.
