Hamas seems to be the biggest obstacle for Palestine to become a state. I admittedly am not a scholar on the Israel/Palestine issue. I've certainly read and watched a lot but this is an extremely complicated situation with many layers. A two state solutions seems like the only way to truly come as close to ending the conflict as possible. I just have no idea how they would do that if Hamas walks back into power there.

Whether it’s Hamas or some other group, it will swiftly be taken over by extremists. They’ll end up as the government or as a paramilitary force that is not controlled by the government (like cartels). Then they’ll attack Israel YET AGAIN.
