International Trump/Putin Summit

Direct collusion or not, no reasonable person can come away from yesterday without thinking Trump is heavily under Russian leverage.

This is why his candidacy should have never gotten past his refusal to release his taxes. (Doesn’t seem such a “trifling” concern now that he is busy trying to rearrange the world economic order, does it?)

But Trumpets overlooked that, just like they overlooked a dozen other things.

Now we are the frog that’s been boiled without jumping out of the pot. We have a President who is— at the very least— compromised by a foreign power.

We have really never been in this kind of danger as a country. Its not just that he may be compromised- that would be bad enough. It is that he is also a destructive violent inciter AND he is not qualified emotionally, psychologically or educationally to be the president.

Who knows what terrible things could happen with this guy.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) is the U.S. Congressman named in Monday's FBI affidavit against Russian national Maria Butina, which alleges Rohrabacher was part of a 2015 delegation that traveled to Moscow and planned to meet with a Russian official widely believed to be Alexander Torshin, reports The Daily Beast.

Why it matters: Torshin, who has been described as a "godfather" in a Russian organized crime syndicate, has been under FBI investigation for potentially funneling money through the NRA to help President Trump win the 2016 election. The notoriously pro-Russia Rohrabacher did not deny being the congressman referenced in the indictment, but said that the charge against Maria Butina is "bogus," according to Politico.

How damn deep does this rabbit hole go

Mueller is a busy busy man

Watching the summit. These notes were taken while watching it:

- Trump started well with the first Russian question but as soon as the first American press asked his question (about what does Trump hold Russia accountable), he droned off over to collusion and winning over Hillary though. Claims both countries are accountable and they should have been talking long ago.

- Next question was to Putin but Trump answered immediately for Putin. He continued about collusion and Hillary (sigh). Putin poo-poos the entire collusion theory and claims there is no evidence. Mentions 1999 treaty - mutual assistance on criminal cases. US should submit a request and they (Russia) would interrogate the 12 suspects and permit Mueller and his team to enter Russia and be present during the interrogation. Russia expects reciprocation - allow them to interrogate people in the US (Mr. Prowder).

- Question about to Trump about how US and Russia work together on Syria. Question to Putin - the ball (soccer reference) is technically on Syrian side. Trump talks about Israel protection and security in this matter. We do cooperate with Russians militarily speaking (but not actively - implied from what I understood). Putin - Concurs with Trump. Would like to maximize cooperation with the US and Syrian to help all humanitarian efforts in Syria. Hands over a soccer football to Trump. Trump gives it to Melania.

- Question to Trump (Does Trump believe the election interference - who do you believe? Putin or intelligence agencies. and ask Trump if he tells Putin that he denounces what happened or he should never do it again). Trump yaps about server.. where is the server? what is the server saying..? blah blah. They (intelligence agencies) think its Russia. Putin says its not Russia. I don't see why it would be. But I want to see the server. Confidence in both parties. Putin is incredibly strong and powerful in his denial. Then switches over to the 33,000 Clinton emails. Thinks Putin's offer of helping out with investigation is incredible. Putin - adds that he believes Russia is a democratic state (I laughed a wee bit about that). Makes a case for a distinction between the state (country) and individuals in terms of allegations.

Question to Putin - Did Trump mention about Crimea being officially Russian? and does he have incriminating evidence on Trump? Putin laughs a bit. He disagrees with the Crimea issue for the first question (of course). He states that Trump was just a businessman and he was not even aware that he was in Moscow. Mentions some event with 400 high leveled businessmen and he ask if anybody would believe that Russians would collect info/dirt on all these businessmen.. (lol.. umm I would believe it)...

Now people on Trumps side have mellowed out but one of the scariest things about this whole situation is how many people will follow Trump into a pile of shit and defend it to the end.

Hell, they'll take off their shoes and step in barefoot if they think he wants them to

New talking point.

Yes Russia hacked us, but so did china and North Korea.. We need to move past who's at fault for this and focus on protecting future elections
