International Trump/Putin Summit

This is so much bullshit it's not even funny.

Trump is tougher on Russia because Congress passed sanctions unanimously and he sat on them for months?

There were multiple series of sanctions passed by Obama's admit over his term on Russia.

so fast? you didn't even read :(

and it's not bullshit, it's a mainstream media article.

the washington post, posted a similar article after Trump bombed Syria.

Posting the same thing over and over again doesn't refute the point. Should I just re-post the article from thebalance.com over and over again until you acknowledge your mistake?
I'm taking NATOs word on what they actually spend. They are the source. Should I take somebody else's?

US-Russia relations are very poor right now.

(1) Pompeo said Trump's airstrikes killed 200 Russians. Putin called the attack a "violation of international law" and an "attack on a sovereign state." Konashenkov says the attack was a "grave violation" of the 2015 military operations agreement.

(2) Trump authorized the sale of $47 million in anti-tank missiles to Ukraine. In response, Russia's deputy foreign minister called the US "an accomplice in fueling a war."

(3) Trump ordered the expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats from the US less than three months ago. This was in response to the alleged poisoning of ex-spy Sergei Skripal in Britain. Sergei Lavrov called the move "obnoxious" and promised a response.

(4) Trump imposed new sanctions on seven Russian oligarchs and 17 top Russian government officials three months ago to punish Russia for interference in the 2016 election.

Elizabeth Rosenberg, a former sanctions official in the Obama administration, described the penalties as “fairly muscular” and predicted that more sanctions are probably coming.

“This list sends a very clear signal to Putin himself that we’re not afraid to go after your friends and their children,” said Alina Polyakova, a Russia expert at the Brookings Institution. “There is some real thinking in this.”

(3) and (4) happened just three months ago. You people seem to have extremely short memories.

And, all those words later, @OeuvrePressure's post still stands. Trump is still a fucking moron (as are his defenders) if he/they believe that our relationship with Russia is at an all-time low. FFS, just last week we had our leader in Europe advocating for Russia to get brought to the table more often.

Do you even Cold War, bro?

I am shocked how many people are misinformed about Trumps Russian politics.

Only a person without basic arithmetic skills would take anyone's word on a five-second calculation.

I assumed Trump meant post-Cold War.

Obama had already gotten many of the member states to agree to reach the spending target by 2025, so this is a bit of a brouhaha about nothing.

Do you hear yourself? The only people you appeal to are your butt buddies in your circle jerk.

So he agreed to another 10 years of mooching before they actually do something, and even then they still may not meet the requirement.

Pathetic.

How about the secret agreements Trump made during his private meeting with Putin? Russia knows all about them, yet Congress or anyone in our Govt knows know nothing, @Treason.

So why do you think NATO isn't smart enough to do what you can do?
This is laughable. The NATO figure uses only the base DOD budget figure.

By endorsing NATO's calculation, you're saying that National Nuclear Security Administration spending, anti-ISIS spending, and Department of Veterans Affairs spending shouldn't count.

You appear to have suspended critical thinking skills in favor of parroting agency spokesmen.

They are actually praising Trump for Veto Proof sanctions.

Let's not forget this debacle in April where he publicly embarrassed Nikki Haley for not reason lol
