Trump may increase spending temporarily to replace weapons stores sent to Ukraine but I think he will stop funding that war. So in the long run it will be less spending in not supporting a forever war.

I have not shifted my goal posts. It's a fact that almost all high level appointments are ass kissing appointments. No president is appointing someone they think is going to disagree with them on a regular basis. I believe Hegseth is qualified via education and military record. I also think that the fact that he is not coming from within the bureaucracy is a qualification. Recycling ass kissers that have made a career of moving up by being ass kissers hasn't been working. So, Hegseth is an outsider to the military industrial complex, that's a good qualification in my opinion.
