Law Trump pardons blackwater murderers and crooked politicians

The irony of spouting off about personal accountability in a thread where four guys were pardoned for a murder they were convicted of in an American court.

The context of what I was saying in response to another poster was not about those four. Your were a bit too eager to come at me and you didn't really read through before you responded.

I understand your arguments change completely depending on the political party of whom your talking about.

That way it's totally possible for you to cry about personal accountability in a thread where trump just pardoned four guys for a murder they were convicted of In US court, and not see the complete hypocrisy of your position.

After all, if personal accountability is important to you, then you'd probably hold that people who inexplicably shoot civilian children in the back of the head and are found guilty after a full trial, would be held responsible.

Is there any oversight to these pardons or can the Pres just do whatever for any reason? I remember reading about that Blackwater lunatic and can't figure out how he could be pardoned no matter how I try. Seems crazy to me.

Sure, if that's what I was talking about with that other poster. Twice now, I have to point out the context to you. I imagine a 3rd time won't do any good and wouldn't stop you from projecting your own bias onto me to help fuel an argument that doesn't exist.

This is the worst of the pardons. A spit on the face of the Iraqi people, especially the victims' families. Makes the US look very bad.

I voted for the guy this time, but this seems like BS....The pardoning power has always been an odd thing to me.

And that's a piss poor argument riddled with hypocrisy.

To say that we should encourage personal accountability for finances, but not encourage personal accountability for shooting a nine year old in the back of the head, isn't really dependent on the context.

It would probably better for you to just explain why personal accountability, which you claim to find important and lost on left-wingers, is not relevant to the crimes for which these guys were pardoned.
