Its because California doesn't maintain its forests. Its a giant tinder box.

The area that burned wasn't a fucking forest. It was a desert with native flora that got hit with a multi-year drought and freak 110+mph winds. And it was sparked by a poorly regulated utility company failing to maintain it's equipment.

I'm surprised a president can order the opening of specific dams. I would think he can tell officials to open dams, but not have to tell which ones to open since they would know better. Is he going to start micro managing military operations now? "Tell the general to use those tanks with the big guns. They don't need air support. Our tanks are the best in the world."

If what you say above is true than the Trump admin, from 2016 was responsible for the majority of the 'forest management'.

Huh, I recall just a week or so ago, people were acting all confused and befuddled when Trump said California did have water to fight the wildfire and could literally "turn it on", now he's "wasting water".

Man you answer the question daily 'who is stupid enough to believe all this garbage Trump spews'.

The issues during any mass fire is not the total water in a State or city and is access to mass amount of water needed in a short time.

the systems simply will not be able to deliver the water or reservoirs refresh fast enough under such a burden. YOu do not fix that by just releasing water in other areas when there was already water in other areas.
