Law Trump just pardoned 1.5k rioters and Proud Boys.....

Nice try, you can’t tell people to be confrontational, to get in faces, to fight, then when they go riot claim you’re non violent, we’re talking about fighting the justice system and not promoting rioting.

Kamala supported the bail for violent rioters. You can spin it anyway you want, she did.
So I guess much like everything else, she expected us to pay fir it while she took the credit

You literally said she bailed out the blm rioters which is demonstrably false. You can now try to spin it with what you really meant but yeah you can sit down now

What a disgrace. The process summarized:

First—already long before Election Day in 2020—he spreads a massive, groundless lie that the upcoming election is rigged and stolen, convincing large parts of the population to believe it.

Then, when both the election is lost and the election lie is exposed, and he is about to step down, he incites his supporters to march on Congress and “fight like hell” to overturn the election result.

Next, when the mob actually storms Congress, 174 police officers are injured, five people die (within 36 hours), and several representatives—including his own vice president—fear for their lives, he stands and watches TV for 187 minutes before asking the intruders to “go home.”

Finally, when the Capitol rioters are sentenced after a lengthy trial—for theft, incitement, and attacking and injuring police officers—he elevates them to patriots and martyrs, calling January 6th “a day of love.” We should not sympathize with the police officers who sacrificed themselves during the attack (some committed suicide afterward), but with the savages who attacked them.

And in the end, when, incredibly, he becomes president again, he pardons nearly all of the nearly 1,600 convicted, including a far-right militia leader who received 22 years in prison. So, you escape the consequences for using violence and attempting to overthrow an elected government, as long as you do it on behalf of a politically powerful person.

This is the democratic beacon, the United States, in 2025. This is Donald J. Trump, the president who promises to restore “common sense,” respect the rule of law and the Constitution, make Americans proud again, and make the rest of the world feel awe and admiration.

It makes me want to puke. Especially when you know there is an endless line of otherwise reasonable, well-informed people ready to defend Trump and everything he does.

It seems that he pardoned everyone, except for the ones that were convicted of Seditious Conspiracy, he just commuted their sentences without the pardon. Asking this question though makes me cautiously optimistic that you don't agree with those actions.

I do claim ignorance on the length of the sentences for the violent and what an appropriate sentence is for similar violent acts. I don't want those people to skate at all. I want them receiving a fair duration for their crimes.

It's been 4 years. How long does a person traditionally get in that area for attacking police or whatever their violent act was. If it's normally 8 years, then I want them in for 4 more and Trump fucked up. If it's 4 years and they got excessive sentences, then I can see the view of letting them out, but not with pardons, commute them. I have a feeling they have not been in long enough if they were violent, but again... I'm not an educated in this area, so I really do not know.

It was over 4 years ago. How in the absolute hell would it not be excessive time compared to similar "crimes" for them to still be in jail? The only way you're still in jail 4 years later for shoving someone is if they accidentally hit their head and died, which didn't happen here, or you have a long list of violent priors.
They didn't all get sentenced on the day they committed their crimes. They also weren't all just lemmings walking into the building to take selfies. If you want to make a point then indicate who exactly you're talking about and how their sentence is excessive.

I respect you and don't think you just automatically side with the right but what Biden has done doesn't even come close to pardoning Proud Boys.

Victims ‘shocked’ after Biden grants clemency to ‘kids-for-cash’ judge and $54 million embezzler

Former Pennsylvania Judge Michael Conahan was convicted in 2011 in what was infamously called the “kids-for-cash” scandal, where he took kickbacks from for-profit detention centers in exchange for wrongly sending juveniles to their facilities. The case was widely considered to be one of the worst judicial scandals in Pennsylvania history.

Those fuckers were on the front lines directing rallyers to the Capitol, tearing down barricades, attacking cops, and inciting the crowd to breach the Capitol.
What this judge did was worse than all that…

I'm not good with that. The violent ones should have to do their time. My only exception would be if a judge gave them extraordinary time in relation to their crime compared to others.

Trump fucked this up. He should have let those that attacked police stay in their cells.
Well said

Yes, the deep state supported BLM riots thats why they increased expenditure for police departments.....

>he thinks that this isn't all part of a road towards a technocratic dictatorship run by unelected bureaucrats and billionaires

Wait, were you under the assumption that Malcom X was leading the Deep State? You don't see how chaos only strengthens the existing system?

It's so funny that you people will in the same breath say "Yes, billionaires and other mega rich use their money to influence our government" and "There is no deep state."

You literally said she bailed out the blm rioters which is demonstrably false. You can now try to spin it with what you really meant but yeah you can sit down now
So she’s just another rich celeb that expects us to pay for the causes she supports?

How many years in prison do you think is enough for the others who didn't bring a gun?

is that your answer to the question i asked you? i'm not sure how that relates to giving life sentences to all of those rioters who brought guns to the capitol.

I hope all of these pardons convinces someone to run on blanket pardoning Luigi. If we are making laws meaningless, at least gives some W's for the middle class.
And Snowden.

I don’t think you know shit about fuck.

She says while franticly googling and falling on her face over and over to simp for convicted criminals that tried to disrupt our election.
