Trump Is President Because White People’s Votes Count More in America (Full Proof and Sourcing)

OP likely reflects geographic dispersion more than anything. Needs additional data to confirm but that would be my hypothesis based on that chart.

If whites are more uniformly distributed then they'd be closer to electoral parity, if nonwhites cluster then they'd suffer disparities due to fixed electoral votes per geographic boundary.

I'm assuming the main points have been covered? Not a pure democracy. Never was, never will be. Point is to let states decide President, not general population. Want states balanced so that big states cannot completely overwhelm small states.

If you don't like it, move to another state.
I wish I could like this twice...

Trumps is president because he won more states that went for Obama twice.

Also why was black voter turnout so low for Clinton compared to that of Obama in the Rust Belt. I guess that means blacks hate old white women.

Flawed system is flawed system.

One person one vote is the bedrock of democracy, and if one persons vote is critically weighted more than anothers you have a serious issue.

  • A vote in Wyoming is worth almost four times more than a vote in California because of the Electoral College.
  • A Hispanic vote is worth just 91 percent of a white vote.
  • An Asian-American vote is worth 98 percent of a white vote.
  • A black vote is worth 95 percent of a white vote, and this is before addressing historic voter suppression aimed at black people.

How are you going to teach other people democracy, when you cant even get it right yourselves.

@seiger Can you point out how this is race based? If everybody in the country was the same race, the same thing would happen regarding the value of votes in different areas

The electoral college is total bullshit

People bitching about Wyoming electoral count are fucking idiots that are just butthurt over the election results.

The reason for Wyoming's electoral vote per person disparity is due to how the electoral college votes are determined.

Electoral votes are tied to congressional representation. 2 Senators and 1 House of Rep. It's the minimum representation they could have. Therefor it's the minimum electoral votes they're given.

Vermont is almost as sparsely populated. And they went decidedly democrat, and has for years.

Congrats. Those two thinly populated states cancelled each other out. And It would take 18 Vermonts or Wyomings to equal a single California.

Wyoming didn't cost the democrats the election. It was the rust belt states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio that cost the Democrats.

@seiger Can you point out how this is race based? If everybody in the country was the same race, the same thing would happen regarding the value of votes in different areas

well to use a vivid example...

if everyone was the same race, slavery might still have happened, but they aint, and black people got disproportionately fucked by it.

rather like this election.

They sould move every black people from atlanta and alabama to NYC so their votes are worth more. Problem solved

You said white peoples vote counts for more. Where you live matters not your race. Can you prove otherwise? Your point was stupid and now you're trying to argue semantics to keep it afloat

so areas that happen to have a lot of blacks and hispanics, have less voting power, and this equates to 1 in every 10 hispanic and 1 in every 20 black vote effectively being lost. and the white vote is unaffected.

and you dont think thats an issue?

saying its geographically based, misses the point that its racially biased and thats not a happy scenario going forward.

your dismissal of the point is stupid. equality of opportunity is not equality of outcome. blacks and hispanics could distribute themselves out evenly with great effort across the country, but why should they? why is the white vote-sum reflected accurately but other races vote-sums are not?

The crying is loud in this thread.

The system worked as it was designed.

The only way to change it is by a constitutional ammendment.

hdr_constitution.gif

What is an amendment?
An amendment to the Constitution is an improvement, a correction or a revision to the original content approved in 1788. To date, 27 Amendments have been approved, six have been disapproved and thousands have been discussed.

How is the Constitution amended?
Article V of the Constitution prescribes how an amendment can become a part of the Constitution. While there are two ways, only one has ever been used. All 27 Amendments have been ratified after two-thirds of the House and Senate approve of the proposal and send it to the states for a vote. Then, three-fourths of the states must affirm the proposed Amendment.

is that a chart of population density in the united states?

red = no fucker lives here and blue = here be people?

Guess what it isn't going to happen.

Because of all those same people the liberals like to insult.

Good thing the united states is not, nor has it ever been a democracy.

Its a republic.

If it was a pure democracy the civil rights movement would still be going on and the minority still fighting for rights.

Some how people like him miss this point completely.

The founding fathers never intended mob rule.
