I said from the moment Harris got the nomination that it was a toss up. Even when Harris made some gains and 80% of right wingers here were pre-emptively crying about how "it's all set up" for her to win, I still had it as pretty much 50-50.

And of course you're going to distort progressive positions, I can do the same for conservative ones. But the reality is, policy only matters a little. If they were everything, Bernie would have been a two-term president already. Candidate personality, charisma and likability matter a ton.

And? It's a factor of why the Democrats are where they are right now. A big one. Just because you want to ignore it out of convenience, doesn't make it go away. It's by far gonna be the Democrats biggest obstacle in gaining back relevance. You just had a majority of House Dems vote against deporting illegal immigrants who commit violent crimes. A majority of them also just voted against keeping biological men out of women's sports. Stupid shit like that, is why Democrats and the left in general, are going to become more and more irrelevant as the years go by.

Whose picture are we discussing? VANCE. He's very unpopular but will almost definitely make his own run in 2028.

And of course someone has to win the primary, but you need wide appeal and likability to win the general. The GOP is full of Kamalas (but even worse). Good luck with that lol.
