Take Trump out of the picture, and there would be somebody else taking his place; we can't think of who that is because Trump is taking up all the oxygen in the room rn. Trump is no worse than any other Republican in office.
Both the forces that define the Trump movement - the conservatives gradually rejecting the idea of a liberal democracy and a christo-fascist reaction to the changing social order - were present in the world way before Trump entered the scene as a "legitimate" political faction in 2015, so there's no reason why they won't be present in a non-trivial way if and when Trump goes.

The goal of conservatives hasn't really changed since the French Revolution: they want a society where a white Christian king (or whatever title is in style at the time) rules over a bunch of rich white male property owners who themselves rule over their families and employees.

Trump was the perfect choice. He captured conservatives rage over having a black liberal family in the White House and harnessed it to snuggle himself in the primaries. And the white christians rallied behind him because he had come out early and often making racially coded attacks at Obama, which earned him their respect.

Trump is such a wild person to be the face of Christian nationalism. I didn’t expect it to be a guy who owns casinos and who commits sexual assaults and brags about it, who brags about invading the changing rooms of Miss Teen contestants, who says weird creepy things about the attractiveness of his own daughter’s body, who’s on his third wife and hasn’t been faithful to any of them, who constantly boasts about his wealth, who seems entirely unfamiliar with the Bible, who claims Presbyterianism but cannot recite the Apostles’ Creed, etc..
I thought this would come, but in the form of a more traditional conservative Christian type but somehow it worked.

Tump is a symptom not the cause and this has been going on for a long, long time.

Christians in a broad sense acknowledge that they are sinners. There is an acceptance that humans are imperfect, and forgiveness is available through Jesus Christ.

Jesus dined with sinners, talked to them, and lived with them day to day.

Not that I think Trump is a Christian, but a notion that Christians don't sometimes let sin overcome them isn't true.

Trump is definitely an unexpected choice. I definitely would have expected someone like Mike Pence to get their support.

Trump won them over with a blunt straight forward approach which appealed to a broad mix of people. Trump also delivered on one of the most important issues for most of them and that's abortion(by overturning Roe v Wade).

It will be interesting to see who wields most influence with Trump between MAGA and Tech Bros.

Trump is populist aiming his propaganda on lazy voters.
Now you will enjoy a lot of fun.

Trump had told casual populistic BS aimed on casuals...
Now MAGA is supposing to increase budget income with duties and fees... for " bad import " from Canada ( best ally U.S had during last 130+ years ) and dreamers are living in dreams. Despite all this will pay end customers....you...

Sellers just will add to price these expenses. Business isn't country.
Canada is with not lesser commodities etc supplier potential than Russia and might negotiate with China, SK, Japan, Europe.
To supply stuff.

Additionally european voters are tired to pay for overpriced U.S weapons export versions and maybe will accept Eurasian Empire...from Lisbon till China and India, Pakistan, Gulf Countries.
They easily see that U.S both reps and dems are dreaming that europe will be kurds No2, No3 etc living in dreams.

While ofc LNG from U.S isn't 3x more expensive, about weapons sales no one with a bit of brains remainings does trust U.S.
Overpriced export models for business profit, pro Kremlin oriented dems and reps...money hungry hypocrytic business....nice words and actually all like Putin and Co. Ofc in more educated manner...

There doesn't exist christian nationalism.
Christian confessions are accepting ppl regardless from their nationality or skin colour.
Main criteria is to accept teaching according to confession rules and flowcharts, guidelines etc.

Trump is not a Christian and has nothing to do with Christianity. He is closer to being a Jew due to his Israel support and Jewish family members than a Christian.

He has done Jewish and Christian publicity stunts. He also appeals to agnostics as that is what he is. So Jews, Christians, and agnostics are all covered. Which is like 98%+ of the voting population.

This post is weak.

Trump won because he was competing against a DEI candidate whose only qualifications were being black and sucking peters. Her only political goal was to make Americans kids trannies.

Christianity is based on Jesus Christ and the idea that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. Lying, stealing, adultery, etc. are all sins. To be a Christian, you have to repent of your sins and put your trust in Jesus.

Trump literally said he did nothing wrong and nothing to repent of. Therefore he can't be a Christian according to any Christian denomination.

Trump is definitely a symptom and not the disease. Trump's one saving grace is that he's an epic moron without any guile, so how much he can fail upwards is at least somewhat limited. If someone who was actually intelligent commanded Trump's army of brainlets, that would be even worse.

If the democrats had competent and intelligent leadership, you wouldn’t have to be whining about Trump this year and the next 4
