When this shit all started, I think most of us thought he'd get a fine at worst, and it'd be business as usual.

I agree with her position entirely. I was shocked when she said he needs to be locked up and isolated. She's a psychiatrist and not a lawyer. But certainly I can appreciate her level of fear should this man continue to operate in the public sphere. The prescription to this madness indeed is his removal from society in some way so to restore the minds of those who have been affected by him.

This is the first time I have ever held such an opinion for any politician in my life. I despised George W. Bush for what he did in Iraq and I had little to no trust in him and his administration, but I never once feared his administration would have the motivation to completely upend democratic institutions to protect his own psychological survival. This is absolutely what is at stake with Trump, and he has a critical mass of followers to enact it should they mobilize on his behalf. This is why I am really glad the indictments are coming in and that we have the evidence to send him away. The initial shock will be really strong and so long as the government will be able to contain the protests from within and without, the nation should be able to resume normalcy and we'll be left with textbook renditions of what happened.

I have always thought that this was a distinct possibility.

Trump might be able to handle Otisville, and I think it's likely that that is where he'll be headed.

HOWEVER, if spray tan man ends up in an actual prison like Rikers, or even the DC jail, he will not make a year. He will Epstein, and the Chuds will spin CT's for the rest of time.
Trump is exceptionally mentally fragile IMO and it wouldn't take much to make him implode.

That really is worst case scenario though.
