Elections Trump for POTUS mega thread

Final prediction from me,
Gonna mention you guys as i wanted to see where you stand as we had legit conversations
@filthybliss @idrankyourbeer @Islam Imamate @PEB @emefer

It'll be 292(She wins PA, MI, WI, NV, and NC) - 246(Trump Wins AZ, GA)

I dunno about Michigan. It went Red in 2016 and a lot of the people around my age are not feeling Kamala because of the Gaza situation.

You thinking the same?
The early voting numbers show there's an extremely high level of young voters this time around, which bodes well for Harris along with the selzer poll.
There’s also I higher number of older voters. I heard that last hour undecided are going for Kamala in double digits according to internal polling. I also saw reporting that a lot of the early voting and mail ins by republicans are those that previously voted in person and have just changed their voting method.

Trump appears to forget he is in North Carolina

Former President Donald Trump on Sunday appeared to mistakenly shout out Pennsylvania’s GOP Senate candidate Dave McCormick during his speech in North Carolina.

“We have great Republicans running, and you have one of the best of all right here, David McCormick, you know that. Where’s David? Is he around some place?”

I'll be shocked if she doesn't win Michigan, i think that's her strongest state from the swing states.

The one i'm most worried about is obviously NC and Wisconsin. We'll know right away with PA as their vote counting process is fast.

no, it isnt really.

took them 4 or 5 days to be able to project a winner in 2020. the rules introduced by republicans where they are not allowed to count ballots until 7 am on election day. republican haven't really changed since then. it's still going to be more or less the same as it was before. where it will take days for them to tabulate all the absentee ballots from pittsburgh and philadelphia counties.

wisconsin also remains the same.

but in michigan they ratified the rules to make things faster, and now they can start tabulating votes up to a week from election day but results are not allowed to be published until after the polls are closed. much like all of the swing states except for nevada (who still manages to count votes slower than literally anywhere, they were not allowed to start counting mail in ballots until election day. often they had to wait until the polls closed to do so

Did it change recently? As i thought that was just for measures due to the extreme influx of mail-in votes cause of COVID.

In virtually every election prior to that it's been usually 1-2 days at most for them to call a winner(aside from the shitshow in 2000).

it only changed in michigan as far as i know

wisconsin and pennsylvania most definately remains the same.

i havent looked up georgia or arizona but i imagine it would be the same deal. the republicans wanted this, they were the ones calling for legislation to prohibit early tabulating and stuff. the same group of people who are also screeching about it taking long to have the votes counted and getting mad because they don't have a winner projected on election night, just a few hours after the polls are closed when they still have millions of ballots to go through that weren't able to be tabulated until after the polls closed all thanks to the very same legislation that their party called for and implemented.

During his own speech, Trump thanked Walker for his endorsement and later made a bizarre promise to put the ex-NFL star in charge of a “missile defense shield” he planned to build.

“We’ll put Herschel Walker in charge of that little sucker,” he said.

I just want to know who wins Pennsylvania. The estimated odds of winning the election with that is ~94%.

If she can take PA, i think she wins the whole house as i see no real path for Trump to win without it.

we probably won't know for a couple of days after the election. it's probably going to be the same deal as 2020.

i wouldn't expect there to be a clear winner of the election projected until later on in the week, probably on the weekend, because there's still going to be a shit load of absentee ballots in the swing states and they have to wait until election night to start counting them.

and then you'll have the usuals on election night doing their usual "how come they don't have a winner? why is it taking so long to count votes? they must be cheating!" dance, completely oblivious to the fact that their own party are the ones to be blaming for this, as they were the ones who brought the new restrictions into legislation and created these problems.

They can start processing mail in ballots when the polls open at 7am in PA

I'd be surprsied if it takes that long, the only way that'd happen i believe(as i heard it on CNN), is if it comes down to the wire to one state and they have to certify every vote one-by-one like they did in 2020 in GA.

Even that whole 2020 debacle only took 4 days for the whole thing and that was with COVID w/ extreme mail-in ballots. Hopefully it takes 1-2 days max as with the nearly 100 years of elections(aside from 2000).

If Harris wins PA, i think she almost gurantees the win(hopefully). NBC released a stat saying if you win PA, in the last almost 50 years(44) MI/WI follows as they all tend to vote the same.
