Even mass deportation is a half measure which isn't going to fix the root issue.

The root issue is Mexico is a failed state. The only way to actually fix the issue at this point is to occupy Mexico militarily, wipe out the cartels and restore order.

The deportations are not the issue itself. It’s just Trump cannot do it in an organized manner.

Also, the overwhelming majority of Obama’s deportations were at the border not people that are already interlocked into the supply chain, paying taxes, etc. There is a key difference there. I don’t think or hope anyone will clutch pearls over the illegal immigrants that cause a scene within the country getting deported.

It's going to get messy depending on how far Trump takes this. I was speaking to my wife about. When I was a kid I worked at almost every store in my area because I hated jobs and constantly quit and found a new one. The amount of places I worked that were filled with illegals is insane. A ton of them had two jobs also.

Logistically and legally they won't be able to do much with people not in this situation, so I'm not sure where the overblown response is coming from before he even assumes office again.
