Economy Trump caves. 90 day pause on tarrifs

So they defended Europe from what? That was his claim.

How many us wars has Europe sent troops to? How many refugees has Europe taken compared to the us?

What is the only country to go for the Nato musketerer oath?

The Russian boogeyman angle is just horseshit. Europe has multiple nuclear powers. Russia, just like the us will only get involved in countries they think cant put up much of a fight

You obviously just want to hate the US.. that's fine, but I literally just proved your statement wrong with instances where they did provide aid and support. No need to be factually incorrect. You are making bad faith arguments.. I could easily say what has Europe defended the US from. It doesn't work that way - the US was never in danger of being invaded, but European support in campaigns was still always valued. You just want to hate - I get it. All good, brother. Carry on.

By the way, there are many Americans who would agree with you and also feel as if Europe should be the ones to take on Russia alone - Very interesting!

US invoked article 5.
Its the only country to ever do so.

Now why would they do that if they did not feel the need to?

I'm pretty sure China, India, and Russia are all drawing up schemes right now to get around the US tariffs on China. China could ship the US bound goods to its partners where they slap a new label on the packaging that says "Made in India" before reshipping it to the US with 30-50% markup. Still cheaper than paying the tariff, and not so expensive that the US tries to relocate its factories back home to cut off the trade for good. Kinda like how Russia sells a bunch of oil to India which then resells it to the EU after a nice markup to get around the sanctions.

First- lol if you think the US needed NATO to flatten Kabul. It was for solidarity and symbolism of NATO strength. The US had the clout to rally NATO after such a massive attack on 9/11. It wasn't necessary to accomplish their goals, but it sure helped and was appreciated.

Secondly, the alliance literally agreed to it.. they did not have unilateral control of the decision, so if you are looking to blame countries, blame your own. It was quite literally a unanimous decision.

What are you talking about I am not trying to blame anybody, I just pointed out that US is the only country to ever invoke article 5.
So how ever you slice it US asked for help.

US always asks for help when you go to war.

But sure you could flatten Kabul must feel good to know.
Maybe next time do that instead of asking for help.

So what do you want - a "Thank you" Mr. Vice President? LOL

yes yes but what about my ice cream?

2025 is going to get bumpy.
Sadly I think we are all going to lose on whats going on right now.
Hopefully I am wrong.
There are only a few decent ice creams out there now. Haagen-Dazs and Tillamook are my gotos.

The only 2 countries that did not receive a pause were China and Canada.

Just goes to show, as I have been saying all along to Canadian voters who are supporting Carney, the reason why Trump is going after us is that our government is in the back pocket of China.

Everyone is so scared of electing Pierre because he is supposedly pro Trump, yet they want to elect a guy who is a clear Chinese puppet. They would rather align with a communist dictatorship than a democratically elected republican government

'Feuding' is a strong word. Its more like making our closest allies 'pay their fair share.'

Many of them have universal healthcare...because they can afford it due to the fact they have miniscule militaries because they rely on ours.
I'd just like to point out that the universal healthcare stuff has nothing to do with it. USA doesnt have it because healthcare is scam over there. The same surgery/treatment/drugs will cost X times over there than on other countries. Yes, sometimes it is better treatment/drug/tech.. but most of the time it's just the same.
That happens because the goal is always profit oriented, If a company or a hospital can rip you off, they will. They have shareholders to answer and the marginal growth must always be happening. Obviously there's also a cultural thing as it's "un-american" to be between business and it's profit. With all the lobby your politicians are never going to allow it.

Brazil is a poor country and have universal health care (its not perfect, has many flaws), people who has the financial condition will pay for a health insurance plan and the ones who are truly rich will simple pay out of their pocket (and it will still be cheaper).

As a government, when you sit down to deal with an insurance company, a doctor association or drug company you have way more bargaining power as you are theoretically representing the whole population.
If I break a arm, I can go to hospital, get a x-ray, a cast and a painkiller for free. IT probably will be a very fast consultation and I'll have to wait a couple of hours in line.
If Im afraid it has more than broken bone and want a specialist, do a MRI and everything else.. I may use my insurance (could be everything fully covered or partially covered.. there are insurances and insurances). I'll have to wait for the insurance bureaucracy to get it, but the consultation will be more focused on my problem.
If money ain't a problem I can go to the best hand/arm doctor in the country, it'll be the same as it is over there, but things wont be overpriced.

My point here is.. you military spending has nothing to do with it

Glad that absurd dickwaving phase is over for now and adults can now try to hash things out like real people should. And hopefully (I know it's not gonna happen for a number of reasons) the 0 for 0 bureucrazyless cross Atlantic trade could happen.

On consumer level I don't mind the slight increase in price (as long as the tariffs don't go to bizarre) but having to jump thru the hoops of all the customs declaration bullshit is really maddening. Free trade without such shit would be awesome. Man can dream.

Of course even if some "Deal!(tm)" can be reached, it's highly unlikely the agreements will be so ironclad that they are fully and utterly safe from random hissyfits. That's the pipe dream #2 here.

Well, these are just the reciprocal tariffs, which we weren't included in the first place. The auto tariffs(and some others) are still being applied to everyone.

Oh it certainly is a portion of the reason why they have Universal Healthcare while having little to no military, just not the entire reason.

Won't deny anything you mentioned in your post in relation to our own amazingly costly American Healthcare system.

Its so profit-focused it spread over to the veterinary system.
It costs $500 to get an X-Ray... on a dog.
