I agree your average person is uninformed and having a hearing that forces proper non-loaded questions or rejecting non-answers would be very beneficial. Hell if they refuse to answer a legitimate question about the position they intend to fill, then I would say it's an automatic disqualification. Also questions like, yes or no, did Donald Trump win the 2020 election should also be disallowed.

Asking loaded gotcha questions like that for clicks, without being allowed to elaborate or answering questions without actually answering questions should not be allowed and does nothing to benefit we the voter. Let's be honest, most voters have made up their minds as well. Just like the senators.

It's what infuriates me, especially with the presidential debates. Even with moderators, no one wants to answer questions and we see it time and time again.

Yes the 'Theater' of at all is tiring and not productive.

But a record must be established, imo, and how we can do that but prevent the theater is not something, i think we can solve.

The Democrats have thoroughly embarrassed themselves. In fact, I would say these hearings have gone a long ways into ensuring that Republicans grow their majority in 2 years.

I know, it's so strange that I care more about an unqualified Nominee now knowing his job from his ass. Congress members can be voted out every few years, what do I care if a state or district votes an asshat in there. I'm sorry that I care about nominees when they're being nominated.

Remind me again, what is Hegseth's qualifications for running one if the largest organizations in the world?

I agree. While I agree with what others said that this is mostly performance, republicans actually didn’t put up much fight for most of Biden’s picks. And questions the did against brown-Jackson were legit, about her judgement history, or some of his more radical left appointees that actually didn’t pass because even people like Manchin who wouldn’t commit.

The GOP has never done what they did to Kavanaugh, Hegseth, etc, asking about marital problems, while hegseths children are present, because they cannot attack Pete’s vision for the department of defense.

Today with Bessent wad great, where the senators were absolutely clueless in how tariffs work, sanders crying about oligarchy, etc. Bondi bodied them too, as she is clearly qualified.

Just confirm them all, otherwise it is democrats just crying about shit no one cares about lol.

And there probably a lot of people watching these hearings that otherwise wouldn’t care, as the Trump and the MAGA movement is ascending and people want to see him and his team beat down the dems

Remind me again, what are the current qualifications of the current Health Secretary(not the tranny)? Point being, you don't care about "qualifications". You can look up and down every administration, and they've hired unorthodox people for all sorts positions. You only started to give a shit on November 5th, and have parroted "unqualified" from the moment your propaganda ministers commanded you to.

Hegseth is up for the top military position. He's a 20 year vet, with degrees from two Ivy League schools. What exactly are looking for in his "qualifications". Not much besides having experience managing an organization as AG before. Not my personal presence for HHS.

Hegseth is among the least qualified nominees we've ever had for DoD. The guy has no experience running organizations of any notable size, let alone successful experience. Hence my opposition, it's not ideological. I don't even care that much about his lack of knowledge of IR, he's just unqualified to run a large org.

This is not rocket science.

Just because you have degrees and have spent time in the Military DOES NOT mean you can manage people or an organization successfully, let alone the largest single employer in the world.

There is NO ONE who gets a top job in any field without being able to show some sort of managerial experience when the job is pretty much entirely a managerial one.

Hegseth only two jobs to submit in that area, which are two Veterans organizations he was a part of, both of which FAILED. The largest employed 8 people.

So only an idiot says, 'ok well he failed twice with 8 people or less so now lets give him 3M people to manage'.

Only a drone pretends otherwise.
 
Im excited about Pam Bondi. To make matters even more topical the ATF recently came out with a reply letter stating they were not going to abide by court rulings on not enforcing their word salads of Pistol/Rifle brace/stock restrictions.
They were forced to walk back that statement. However, they said they are going to appeal the ruling STILL. Trump has specifically addressed the pistol brace nonsense, saying he was going to do away with it.
