A neutral take from me is that the UFC objectively looks like a shitty, clownish product these days and I wonder where they're going to be when they lose their diehard base, because I don't think they actually have a casual one. This is always going to be a niche sport and trust this, piss off diehards enough and they will eventually bounce. They're making hard inroads on this. I'm not there yet, but I'm about halfway. I've had espn+ for years and I'm done with that. It bears no value.
And yes, taking a political stance in the entertainment industry is straight up retarded, it's flat out leaving money on the table no matter which side you're leaning to. The thing is, the brass at the UFC like any good corporation eat well so they don't really give a shit. They're not trying to be giants, they only want enough for themselves and they couldn't give a fuck if Don Frye fights Sam Elliott for the Best Mustache Belt.
