Opinion Trump and the UFC - Neutral Take...

I’m sure he’s withholding sex from his boyfriend in protest, too.

On topic, why the fuck wouldn’t the ufc broadcast that the president fucking elect is in attendance? It’s a big deal.

On topic, when did I say the UFC not broadcast the president attending the UFC? In fact, I said it was perfectly fine to show the attending president.

A neutral take from me is that the UFC objectively looks like a shitty, clownish product these days and I wonder where they're going to be when they lose their diehard base, because I don't think they actually have a casual one. This is always going to be a niche sport and trust this, piss off diehards enough and they will eventually bounce. They're making hard inroads on this. I'm not there yet, but I'm about halfway. I've had espn+ for years and I'm done with that. It bears no value.

And yes, taking a political stance in the entertainment industry is straight up retarded, it's flat out leaving money on the table no matter which side you're leaning to. The thing is, the brass at the UFC like any good corporation eat well so they don't really give a shit. They're not trying to be giants, they only want enough for themselves and they couldn't give a fuck if Don Frye fights Sam Elliott for the Best Mustache Belt.

Diehards illegally stream the product and simply piss and moan online like you do, and you think you have a major influence in any way? That's priceless.

"I'd be willing to bet"

Nothing I said hinges on the majority of workers in the UFC being pro or against Trump. It is about not making a company a platform for political propaganda. I don't think you understand what I even said, because you are belligerent trying to pick a fight with who you perceive as an ally of "the liberals". You need to slow down, think, and realize I am not your enemy.
And I think you need to realize that even though you are a liberal, trump going to the ufc is huge and they have every right to advertise it. It isn’t like the rock showing up or something.

I wasn’t a fan of Trump and I. Fact I voted for Biden regretfully. I hated the dude

But as corny as it sounds this all changed after he was shot at in Pn. Also I admired him for his work ethic display.

He can go where ever he wants. you can be as politically sensitive as you want to be but to me Trump was visiting his friend Dana White and enjoying a big night of fights.

I don’t really feel comfortable with Musk and Trump hanging out in the same place all the time. Once in a while is fine but not to a predictable level no
He didn’t just visit though, he had a video package, DX style entrance,
And about 5 minutes of everyone Patting each other on the backs.

This isn’t just Anik going,
“And look Will Smiths in the crowd.”

I agree with the premise but UFC has a pretty huge stake in their own interests by amusing the President and his rich friends in power.

I am not liberal, and I did not say the UFC should not display his attendance. I don't think you understand what I am saying.

What is exactly the propaganda they have brought forth?

Edit: I guess you mean the vlip or something they showed? I missed it, so I can't judge.

They showed an entire video-trailer in the arena and PPV.

Yeah, a lot of liberals like yourself are embarrassed by the label, and I did understand. I disagree with your stance. The president elect is different than a celebrity.

Then tell Dana how you feel. Are you hearing his employees are upset? Does every worker in every organization share the top brass views? They are a fight organization and should not run promos? Every time Orange man shows up, they walk him out and film that. Guy just won an election after political persecution, character assassination, and the media spinning narratives for years and it all backfired. Anybody without bias and neutral should see that when everything corporate slants one way, they are rigging the game and it's actually influenced millions of people into choosing someone who represents a party that tells us boys can be girls and girls can be boys, just as long as it's not Orange Man.

One minute promo was enough for you to draw the line? Think your issue is that majority of people are tired of tolerating what's happening. Your friend throwing a hissy fit sounds like they/them feelings were hurt.

Couldn't imagine having a friend that emotionally underdeveloped.

Nothing I have said hinges on "every employee on the organization sharing the top brass view", whatever the latter is. Yes, the organization is free to run promos. I don't think an organization should run a political propaganda machine.

I was semi-joking to be fair, knew it’d rustle some jimmies though
<JonesLaugh>

Stop being a troll. I thought you wanted this place to be more positive? Stop throwing fuel on what is super clearly a very polarized, divisive subject.

Hey I don’t think it was a completely out of place comparison, the first thing that comes into my mind when I think of propaganda In sports is that Olympics.
This thread isn’t going to lead anywhere good regardless

“A sporting event ran a special broadcast about the most powerful man in the country visiting their event and it made my man child friend cry! What are we going to do about this, guys?!”

You're not admitting that part of what made you create this thread is TDS.

almost everybody itt is seeing right through it and that is why you are getting so much heat.

I don't have anything against Trump in particular. I kinda like him. Would I vote for him? No. I didn't vote for Kamala either.

Nothing I said was about Trump in particular. The same would apply if it was Jesuschrist.

I'm saying, I don't think it is a good idea to turn a sport's league into a propaganda machine. You think it is. That's great. Democracy in practice.

Stop BSing, bud. Just because it comes to mind doesn't mean it's in anyway accurate.

What was propaganda?

They showed a video package claiming he won the election. Was that misleading or the truth? You are crying into the abyss and think people are misunderstanding you. You believe you are neutral. You are biased for you and your friend who cried, because they/them had to see the President Elect get walked out and shake hands.

Bro, is your friend an adult? Adults don't behave that way. Trump gets adults to behave like petulant children, because their MSM overlords have programmed all you "educated folks" to not like a stranger. You never met this man. Your friend never met this man. Ask the UFC employees how they feel. You are not in your Liberal echo chamber here bro.
