Transparent cage fence in the UFC

I keep coming back to this but I would love plexiglass like in the NHL.

Imagine seeing a knockout finish standing where the guy dribbles the head off the plexi.

Might get foggy in there so they will need to have window cleaners that run around in-between rounds like the snow shovelers in the NHL.

Edit: Oh and I almost forgot, imagine all the blood stains on the glass. Would be pretty badass. Maybe we skip the window cleaners completely.

I attended a Bellator event in 2012 and had cage-side seats, and couldn't see much at all. Too many things in the way.

I've always wondered... 'Why does it need to be a cage?'

Why can't it be thick & clear plastic? Like bullet-proof glass (that's actually 1" thick plastic).

IMHO it'd be a huge improvement for all involved, especially those in attendance.
No fence grabbing.
The judges would be able to see clearer.
No chance those outside the 'cage' could be splattered with blood.

Yeah that's just what the ufc needs. Something that fighters will get their heads smashed open on

Yeah, because the chain-length fencing of the cage has a history of cutting upon the skin of fighters.

A solid surface like solid plastic surfaces would no doubt lead to even more lacerations.

Someones never worked with lexan. It would look like garbage after two fights. Covered in sweat, blood, and steam. Absolutely terrible idea.

They should bring them inside the cage too and have them attack due to inactivity.
