Woman pleads not guilty to depositing soiled adult nappies at three nurseries

A woman has denied depositing adult nappies containing human waste at three Tyneside nurseries.

Abbi Taylor, formerly known as Martin Tarling, is accused of a series of offences which are alleged to have happened in South Tyneside. She will stand trial next year in a case expected to last around five days.

During a hearing at Newcastle Crown Court, Taylor pleaded not guilty to three counts of depositing controlled waste, namely that she knowingly illegally treated and/or disposed of controlled waste in a manner likely to cause pollution to the environment and/or harm to human health by disposing of bags of nappies containing human waste between October and November 2023. It is alleged the offences happened at the Busy Bees children's nursery in Cleadon, South Tyneside, Ashfield Nursery, in South Shields and Little Gems Nursery, in Jarrow.

She further denied theft of clinical waste bags from Busy Bees nursery in December 2022 and damaging property - milk bottles and a fire escape at Little Gems - in October last year.

Taylor, 45, of Haymarket Walk, South Shields, also pleaded not guilty to acting in breach of a criminal behaviour order by being at or within ten metres of a children's nursery and removing items from a waste container between April and November 2023 and also denied causing a public nuisance at or near a children's nursery.

An eighth charge of outraging public decency 'by being inside a bin containing soiled nappies and disclosed garments and interacting with soiled nappies within sight of the public' was not put.

Taylor will stand trial on March 3 next year and was further released on conditional bail. She was told there will be further pre-trial hearings in April this year and February next year.

Taylor also smears excrement onto milk bottles and onto the walls of nurseries, prosecutors said.

For the staff at the nurseries, the six year ordeal dating back to 2019 was 'horrifying' and left them feeling 'anxious and uncomfortable' according to Recorder Richard Herrmann, sitting at Newcastle Crown Court.

Bemused staff at Cleadon nursey caught sight of Taylor's legs sticking out of a bin in May 2023 close to where nappies were left.

Jane Foley, prosecuting,

said the manager at a South Shields nursery reported seeing someone rooting around inside' one of the clinical waste bins in January 2023.

While staff at a nursery in Jarrow initially believed a rival business might be dumping waste on their premises, when they found up to 50 soiled nappies on site.

It emerged during the hearing that Taylor was not supposed to go near any nursery owing to a banning order imposed by Nottingham Magistrates' Court in April 2023.

Nick Lane, defending,

said the case was highly unusual, and referred to his client as a woman.

He said: "Miss Taylor accepts going to childcare settings and entering the bins... in order to gain comfort."

Mr Lane added that his client has questioned their gender for more than three decades.

Staff at one nursery were so concerned they went in pairs when going outside to put waste into the bins.

Recorder Herrmann acknowledged Taylor's troubled childhood, saying: "Taylor has a very unfortunate history."

Taylor, from Newmarket Walk, South Shields, South Tyneside, pleaded guilty to three counts of dumping bags of toxic materials - nappies containing human waste - at nurseries in the local area.

The sentence will be passed on Thursday.

No this person sounds very lucid and rational to me. They’re candidly sharing their personal experience and raising awareness that people can be born differently but shouldn’t feel alone or frightened for being different.

So the Supreme Court in the UK has ruled that For Woman Scotlands case be accepted:

"For Women Scotland argued for a "common sense" meaning of the words man and woman, telling the court that sex is an "immutable biological state"."

This means protections made for the female sex are not given to men who identify as a woman.

The boating/cruising community is filled with cool and quirky individuals all feeling a desire to adventure and roam. We've been doing this for a couple of years.

This year and last we occasionally buddy boat with a lesbian couple and their 2 kids. 1 is near my sons age. We are sometimes at a beach, restaurant, or marina with them. They were absolutely mortified to find out I am a hardcore conservative after spending time with my wife who leans a bit left.

One them feels very empowered to make extremely political statements. Maybe she just wants to see if I'll say some crazy shit to rationalize her beliefs.

Anyway, she says the main reason they are out in the Caribbean is that they don't feel safe in the US under Trump. She honestly believes they are going to round up all teh gayz and put them in camps or something. She was awkwardly vague when I asked to clarify the issue. I told her most conservatives don't really give a shit about gays anymore. She hesitated. I said that was 30+ years ago. Now we are concerned about men with weird sexual fetishes posing as women who want access to kids, and the trend towards men who want to compete it women's sports. She almost cracked.

She went into this irrational rhetoric about women's rights and gay acceptance. She was literally unable to separate the trans issues from the gay community or women's spaces. Completely unable to see she had convoluted the issues.

It's fine. We drank some beer and the kids kept playing. Because I'm tolerant of women's irrational bullshit. I've been married 27 years.
