How transgender rights impact our system on a political and policy level sounds like ideology to me. The origins of the diagnosis of transgendered are also often discussed in this thread.

I’d say the word applies. I don’t believe any of us mods are English majors tho.

Does anyone truly support this behavior? I'm sure some folks on Tumblr do, but whatever your beliefs, this wasn't reasonable behavior. I'm sure even some of the most progressive of folks would agree.

The dad is old school, 90 something% of his peers probably wouldn't even come close to tolerating that. He said "transgender daughter" probably thinking it was the right thing, and instead of correcting him, his so-- err, I mean, daughter had a nuclear meltdown!

I guess the distinction between trans-daughter and daughter was just too dysphoric for his child.

These medical procedures are so abhorrent and shocking that so many of these so-called progressives instinctively believe they're not happening - they can't believe that this cultural project they've been told is the civil rights movement of their time can be so depraved. I'm so all for gender 'different' and inclusivity but this almost looks like your child wouldn't be welcome as a straight kid.
You start putting kids into a specific LGBTQ+ school they're going to live that life thinking that's their only option.

There was one article a while back where young kids were being given (weirdly I think it might've been Florida of all places), colouring books etc where they were encouraged to choose a flag and a gender orientation, and the 'cis gendered' page was blank white. What young kid is gonna choose the plain white page over the colourful gay and trans flags. They're deliberately telling those kids, in that specific instance, that being 'cis gendered' is boring and plain and they should choose something else. It's undeniable indoctrination.

The problem here is 99% of those kids KNOW which way they're gonna go. But they're being ACTIVELY pushed towards a different path through basic colourful grooming.
