It was a college course. We were discussing factors that contribute to Gender Dysphoria and using different studies to support our claims. It's fruitful because we got a lot of different information on the topic and people weren't emotional babies about the topic

Gener roles and generally characteristics are both seperate from sex. How society views sex determines how gender roles a d identities form. If a society does not value motherhood then it will be seen as a lesser feminine trait. If they lack a surplus of "working women" then they will see women with careers as more masculine.

Sex and gener are related but they are not the same.

You're one of those people who can't tell apart an opinion from a real theory. Most of the "theories" in the gender space are the opinions of their author with absolutely nothing to back them up, and they make you study those opinions as though it means anything. Complete waste of time. Those classes becoming mandatory is a new thing that was brought on by politics, not science.

I'm only referencing information I got from peer reviewed studies and the DSM 5. Many of the studies in question were not supportive of the notion of transgenderism.

And no one said the classes were mandatory. I took a lot of developmental courses which touch on the topic because it feeds into my masters.

I don’t think I’ve had a single direct interaction with a trans person in my life. I dont think my kids have either. And I’m in NY. I’ve seen a few obvious ones on the train. Never once through work that i can recall. Working in finance and consulting in NYC. Never once in a gym.

I have had them in my formation.

I've had to go to special "sensitivity" and "inclusion" briefings.

I've been part of no less than FOUR sexual assault and sexual harassment 15-6 investigations involving them. I think we had 8 of them in the Brigade and HALF of them are under investigation.

I've had to go to Behavioral Health at least 7 times because one of them kept having an episode. Turns out - hormone medication not being taken correctly. Yeah, don't double up.

They kept failing upwards because nobody wanted to work around them. Sensitive little creatures looking for a way to make a complaint.
Unable to function in combat arms roles or support roles at tge CO level they were usually transfered to BN or BDE and filled roles outside their MOS. Which means they were not MTOE slotted. They can't get promoted because they aren't in their slot. Then they cry. Get sent down to the CO level again. Finally the CO cdr and 1st have to explain why this drama queen BS is destroying morale to the BN cdr who is walking on eggshells.

It's been a fucking shitshow and I'm glad it finally stopped.
