Social Trans people being removed from the military by Trump for being mentally unfit.

He is not seeing it. One thing that's very noticeable about conservatives, and specifically bigoted ones, is they act like all of society is some kind of luscious dessert where if a new group gets any, that somehow means that they themselves are getting less. Like that Hip Hop thread where someone was bringing up the fabled "black privilege."

Now I click on this thread and there is literally a dingbat suggesting that there's a such thing as "trans privilege." This is a plague of hierarchical thinking. These people cannot merely exist, and merely be visible. No no no, they're trying to get ahead of us!! They want what we have!! It reminds me of the character Danny revealing what he REALLY hates:

For a long time I just thought this was a bit misguided, but how he phrases it is a big key of hierarchical programming that allows for bigotry.

"I hate the fact that it's cool to be black these days..."

What does that really mean? He cant be talking about just white kids because white kids arent black. They can never be black. And what does "these days" mean? It means he would prefer to live in days where its NOT cool to be black.

Now replace "black" with "trans" and you have the stupid argument being made that people are becoming trans to "get ahead" just because there is a measurable effort among society to be nicer to them, which somehow means the bigot is missing out on something.

the issue has been overly politicized by both extremes, and honest and good trans people, families and healthcare providers have been caught in the crosshairs. they are presented as the enemy. easy scapegoats. some good people.

I dont think that's the result of both sides. That's the result of any marginalized group trying to no longer be marginalized

I'm not American, you tool. I never claimed I was.
So i hope you take all the lunatics in your country whatever it might be.
I bet your from a really soy country like a european one or Canada.

Even non deployables fulfill necessary roles.

Just not true from top to bottom. You're regurgitating shit you've heard lol. I've worked with Trans marines. They're just like the rest of us crayon eaters

I have had them in my formation.

I've had to go to special "sensitivity" and "inclusion" briefings.

I've been part of no less than FOUR sexual assault and sexual harassment 15-6 investigations involving them. I think we had 8 of them in the Brigade and HALF of them are under investigation.

I've had to go to Behavioral Health at least 7 times because one of them kept having an episode. Turns out - hormone medication not being taken correctly. Yeah, don't double up.

They kept failing upwards because nobody wanted to work around them. Sensitive little creatures looking for a way to make a complaint.
Unable to function in combat arms roles or support roles at tge CO level they were usually transfered to BN or BDE and filled roles outside their MOS. Which means they were not MTOE slotted. They can't get promoted because they aren't in their slot. Then they cry. Get sent down to the CO level again. Finally the CO cdr and 1st have to explain why this drama queen BS is destroying morale to the BN cdr who is walking on eggshells.

It's been a fucking shitshow and I'm glad it finally stopped.

ETA: after reading this I come off as some hateful bigot.

Not true, as a young Platoon leader in 07 my commander was gay. 2nd in his class at west point and best CPT in the BN. People called him Rainbow 6 (before don't ask don't tell repealled). But he was solid. Very capable and kept his preferences to himself. He was on Rachael Maddow, reference Jonathan Hopkins.

I've had dozens of gay soldiers in my formations. Never had much of a problem. The gay males generally had an off post boyfriend so their shenanigans never made the blotter. The gay females NEVER GOT PREGNANT TO AVOID A DEPLOYMENT. Nor were they fucking their squad mates.

So kudos to you, gay soldiers, per capita you gave me less problems than your hetero counterparts. And that's makes life so much easier.

Geez man. Sounds like you have a real problem unit. I'm at a HQ element. We have 4 that I know of and they're all standard motivated devils. Never had any mandatory trainings. They got here and I didn't even know they were trans until I had to run their CFT.

Sorry you had problem children to deal with. I have my fair share, just not trans ones. I'd just advise you not to generalize. Every group will have shit bags. It is unavoidable. I'm sure I'll have a trans marine who makes me go ballistic one of these days.

Everyone has their place. Everyone deserves a chance to earn a place in the service. And frankly, we are in no place to be denying recruits. By all means, weed out the bad ones. Just don't over correct

Im aware. Fox is genuinely illiterate. I'm mostly just putting information out there so that anyone who stumbles across it can appreciate/cry about it.

Gender studies was genuinely a fun topic. Class had a lot of differing opinions but the discussions were fruitful

Fruitful.

What the fuck is fruitful about such discussions?

"I'm a man but I sometimes feel like a woman".

What's fruitful about that? It's the most trivial shit imaginable.
