80% of the military is non combat roles. That's at the low end.Serious question. I see many bring up that trans are not deployable due to their, "medical needs". Is this truly the case? If so, why are we staffing them in military roles to begin with? There's only so many desk jobs and pencil pushing available.
It's called the tooth to tail ratio. Amount of support required for every combat role varies but the rule of thumb has been 4-1 for a while now.
Drone age probably pushed that into the 5-1 region. More machines decreases combat role requirements while increasing logistical and support requirements.
I doubt "medical needs" would be a significant issue in non combat roles.
