Went to a toy fair today in a town with the 2 nerdy shops i visited a couple of weeks ago.

Nothing from the 2 shops but picked up






And as I was an early entry and paid for that ( $5 or so ) they gave each of us a Lego poly bag ( well paper in this case ) of a Astronaut which was a pleasant surprise...

Mine usually is like 50% higher than Amazon price. I'm guessing what you saw was a deluxe GIJ CS figure like maybe Budo the samurai armor guy that came with an extra set of alternate samurai armor that could be used on some other blank figure.

He was definitely one of them. Think there was a firefighter also, and for sure a Snake Eyes.

I watched a youtube vid trying to see what's up with the new Hasbro 375 brand and the dude whipped out a Boss Fight Hacks blank figure, and now I'm thinking maybe I need to try one and see if I can make a Daredevil that has articulation.

I finally unboxed the Super7 ReAction+ v2 Snake Eyes, not the blue boots one, and I think they put it together with the o-ring twisted so the torso had some weird resistance to being straight, same as the Cobra Commander. Fixed them both by opening and reattaching the o-rings.

Itching to buy more, but they aren't putting out enough characters I want.

There's a switch on top and you twist it and the thing where the red figure is rotates to the blue one. My friend decided she wanted it so I went back .

Couldn't find any transformers I fancied or Action Force ( forerunner to GI Joe in the UK ).

Whilst there I saw several guys picking up small carded GI Joe figures for £22 or about $29 ....

I would be reluctant to buy Super7 ReAction+ at $25 each, but I don't think they re-release stuff after it sells out.

Their first cartoon Cobra Commander looks good. Leaks indicate November will be cartoon movie Cobra Commander with red and black cape. I'd buy that if I didn't already buy the capeless version.

I just opened the dark navy blue & gray v2 Snake Eyes and looks good. Never had the original v2.

Why not buy the MOTU x Thundercats figures? They seem to all have enough alternate parts to make the cartoon versions and don't look like midgets. I bought Lion-O and didn't open yet. Might go for Panthro later.

I listen to Galactic Figure Talk podcast and the guy seems to use AI to make his opening and closing music featuring AI singer, I assume. His latest podcast has a song about "If it's not new, it's poo" with respect to TVC repacks and repaints and the song is not bad. Hearing what sounds like a serious singer singing that phrase cracks me up. He said he'll post it on his website later.

Speaking of personal life, got bad news yesterday. A nerd friend of mine who I went to toy fairs and geek shopping with passed away . He was 37 a couple of days ago. We were messaging back and forwards all the time until 4 weeks ago when he got hospitalised with pneumonia. Got the message as I was going to the toy fair .

That fucking stung.

Cheers for that. This is the only place I felt okay to post it for some reason apart from a nerd WhatsApp group that has 3 other people in it .

Funny , he died yesterday and today Juggernaut turns up, then Captain America and blue Venom and my second ML Green Goblin . Not planned , just how it happened...

That Juggernaut is heavy as heck. That'll come out of the box ( carefully) and go with my spare 20th Anniversary Hulk and Thing.

Tidying up my room now, guess it's a mental health thing . On the positive side, found the duplicates I have of about 15 ML unopened so I'll pop them out..
