This is pretty freaking awesome.

.I mean, it's no new Death Star but...

Finally got me a ML green & yellow Banshee for half price for my Giant Sized X-Men team. Also bought a MOTU x Thundercats Lion-O for slightly cheaper than Amazon.

just ordered this. could have bought three other dolls for the price of her. not sure what my plan is. probably won't unbox and see if she goes up in value as they most often do, then might resell. unless i get her and she blows my toes then i guess ill have to commit.

the three neglected dolls:

Lol , I had the two on the middle and right sat in my cart too for a couple of days but didn't bite...

Going back to the Jada Street Fighter figures .

One thing I noticed last night is the size/price of the figures.

The Vega figure is a normal 6 inch size and I paid £24 or so for him . Both Sagat and Blanka are BIG figures .

Which is understandable but the boxes are about 40% bigger . In Marvel Legends these would probably sold as deluxe figures . Jada sold them as the same price as the regular smaller figures like Vega and Ryu .

Gotta tip the hat for that to Jada . I know they have deluxe figures with extra bits but these regular figures are bloody good value with extra hands, heads and other bits . Nice sculpts too.

In the US Sagat and Blanka were $5 more than the other Jada releases, at least from where I ordered them. Still a great value though, especially considering Hasbro charging $50 for Max Spidey and $60 for Minimum Effort Hulk.

Jada and Storm really showing it is possible to release fantastic figures that look and pose great at a reasonable price point.

I wish I held out for the SF Alpha Ryu from Jada. The face looks better.

I looked into that Catwoman to see how much it was. I figured for $35 or less I'd order it. It was $35 on the dot...and preorders were sold out everywhere. Damnitall.

I checked all of my honey-holes, and they're all sold out. People are buying the entire set.

Is this Anne Hathaway Catwoman? EDIT: I'm guessing it's not.

Kinda want the Page Punchers soft goods cape Superman in classic colors. Seems like they're doing lots of soft goods capes now.

Haven't posted any mechs in a while even though I've got a bunch made. Time to rectify that.

Brand: Sluban
Name: Light Lance Mech
Price: 24.99 (got it for like $22 on Amazon through a different seller)
Piece count: 511

This thing could REALLY use a stand. It isn't too bad if you don't have all the bladed "wings: attached, but it's way too top heavy (the center piece on the picture is actually the trident it uses for a weapon) unless you have the weapon attached to the back to act as a stabilizer. Had they made the legs a bit shorter and bulkier I think that would have greatly helped.

I really like the colors, especially the rose clear pieces. It had stickers of course, about 25ish.

I really don't like the hand style this has. They just don't look good and limit what you can use with them.

The joints are all pretty good.

This was just an ok build, which is why I only took the one picture, but for the price it's hard to complain too much.

Overall, maybe a 6 outta 10.

Next up we have this guy I just finished up.

Brand: Sluban
Name: Green Dragon Samurai
Price: $35.99 on Amazon (had a bunch of coupons and discounts that put the price at about 29.95)
Piece count: 704

I've had my eye on this one for quite a while and finally decided to take the plunge. I like the style and how it looked, plus the two different weapons piqued my interest.

Let's get the flaws out of the way.

First up are the hands. Don't like the closed fist style at all since they are so limiting.
They also did a weird design with the elbow joints. They don't rotate at all but are double hinged. A normal ball joint would have been my choice.
They used those damn flat hinges for the knee joints again.
The weapons are WAY too heavy for the joints to hold well, especially the nagata which is super top heavy.
The way they designed the pauldrons makes posing the arms challenging (they used a ball joint for the shoulders that's pretty stiff which doesn't help). I was able to modify them slightly which helps some.

Now for the cool stuff.

The shoulder pauldrons are pretty damn sweet looking.
Love the colors of this mech. The teal green is nicely offset with the gold on the stickers. Not a huge fan of the yellow gold but it works here.
That bow is freaking AWESOME. There are so many joints that let you curve the bow however you want. There's even a place on the back to attach it which changes the look of the mech.
The added light arrow is a nice touch.
It's pretty poseable and stays put nicely (outside of the weapons being heavy).
I appreciate how detailed they made the head.
How they designed the skirting is really good and it allows the legs to move freely.

I really like this one for the most part. Change out the knee and elbow joints, and give me better hands and it really would have made this a great build. The unique bow weapon and those cool pauldrons really bump up the rating for me.

Overall, I would give this an 8 outta 10.

Did somebody say they wanted pictures??? (For some reason the mech looks really blue in the pictures. It has much more of a green tint in person. I think my suck ass lights are washing them out).

Front view. I like the way it's able to be posed like he is about to draw back on the bow.
