I've had my eye on this one for quite a while and finally decided to take the plunge. I like the style and how it looked, plus the two different weapons piqued my interest.
Let's get the flaws out of the way.
First up are the hands. Don't like the closed fist style at all since they are so limiting.
They also did a weird design with the elbow joints. They don't rotate at all but are double hinged. A normal ball joint would have been my choice.
They used those damn flat hinges for the knee joints again.
The weapons are WAY too heavy for the joints to hold well, especially the nagata which is super top heavy.
The way they designed the pauldrons makes posing the arms challenging (they used a ball joint for the shoulders that's pretty stiff which doesn't help). I was able to modify them slightly which helps some.
Now for the cool stuff.
The shoulder pauldrons are pretty damn sweet looking.
Love the colors of this mech. The teal green is nicely offset with the gold on the stickers. Not a huge fan of the yellow gold but it works here.
That bow is freaking AWESOME. There are so many joints that let you curve the bow however you want. There's even a place on the back to attach it which changes the look of the mech.
The added light arrow is a nice touch.
It's pretty poseable and stays put nicely (outside of the weapons being heavy).
I appreciate how detailed they made the head.
How they designed the skirting is really good and it allows the legs to move freely.
I really like this one for the most part. Change out the knee and elbow joints, and give me better hands and it really would have made this a great build. The unique bow weapon and those cool pauldrons really bump up the rating for me.
Overall, I would give this an 8 outta 10.
Did somebody say they wanted pictures??? (For some reason the mech looks really blue in the pictures. It has much more of a green tint in person. I think my suck ass lights are washing them out).
Front view. I like the way it's able to be posed like he is about to draw back on the bow.
