Social Toy Collectors Thread

I'm itching to buy a Star Wars TVC vehicle... especially if discounted for xmas. Who has a TVC vehicle and what do you recommend? The Rogue One tank is too ugly, but I could accept its lower price. I saw posts saying people canceled their Haslab Razor Crest orders for some strange reason.

From a toy forum, I linked to a Toywizards website that had a few misspelled words and reported they were invited to a Hasbro G.I. Joe roundtable with other websites and they said the hard to find Classified figures will come back around in 2021 so something like scalpers better get their high price now. Also said something like they are now working on figures due out in 3 yrs and it takes that long from planning to retail, and they are aware of the difficulty with meeting demand and were really caught off guard by the huge demand.

Best Buy has Marvel Legends Erik Killmonger (I no longer need since there's official 6" G.I. Joe), another Black Panther wave guy, the Klaw guy, and Living Laser on clearance for $11.99.

With Boba back, I'm leaning towards Slave I TVC. I watched a youtube review by Bossk Bounty and kinda looks good. The new tooled ROTJ TVC Boba would go good with it. What are the chances Boba has a Slave II as backup then sells it to Mando so Hasbro can sell more toys without investing in new tooling?

I kinda wanted I think the prequel ship Obi used to fly to visit Jango where the ship looked like cross betw Episode I fighter and Tie Fighter dome cockpit. Maybe I'm getting it mixed up.

ESB Snowspeeder also good, which I have from when Lego first got the Star Wars license.

I hope Mando Monday has something good tomorrow.

Maybe. I thought there was one that had the Tie Fighter windshield and nothing directly in front of it and the delta wings were on the sides.

Anakin's Jedi Starfighter. Maybe from CGI Clone Wars. Looks cool.

Has to be a big favorite to dip into 6" scale vehicle.

I'm wanting some new G.I. Joe Retro vehicles too to put multiple characters in. Gotta stimulate the economy.

I saw one TVC scale but I want a nicer color scheme like blue and gray or something. Hard to think of cool space ships from the prequels or cartoons.

I saw an article saying TVC Amazon 2013 Slave I was $69.99 and then "improvements" made the 2020 Slave I cost $149.99. It's got more paint weathering and clear tail container top. Doesn't even come with any figure aside from carbon block Han. I saw a screenshot of the side of Slave I from a movie and the TVC one is too small to be proper scale.

The Admiral Ackbar lookalike squid alien did wonders with string. Maybe he can use duct tape this time and fix it.

I saw destro and roadblock at Walmart in old-school packaging but made the new way and I just felt pissed and walked outta the toy department

I bought both the other day. Roadblock's sculpt looks really good, better than 3.75" Marvel Universe. They still have the upside down "T" hip metal piece, the screws into the inner thighs, elbow swivel, wrist swivel.

If I had to deal with stripped rusted screw heads and changing rubber o-rings every year, I'd lose my marbles. Even if they used stainless steel easy to find square head or hex head or flat head screws, it'd still suck to replace o-rings.

O rings are a serious pain in the ass. But it made for the best figures that have ever been made

been wanting to get a Spidey figure for awhile now & figured Marvel Legends was the way to go since i’m not about to drop some serious cheddar on an action figure. unfortunately i don’t really dig to look of either of these two variants.

hopefully they’ll release something cool that’ll grab my eye soon (i don’t follow their release schedule or anything so i’ll have to chance into it i guess lol)

Right now there's a Marvel Legends Retro Spidey on the same old school cardback as J. Jonah Jameson, MJ/Gwen, Cyborg Spidey, and it's probably the best Spidey you could buy now at retail price. I think Amazon as seller is sold out for a while. It's adult Spidey height, not movie high school kid height.

I think maybe Hasbro blew their load on the prior Mando Mondays already. Second straight week nothing appealing to pre-order.

Leaning towards not ordering Firestar. Don't have Iceman. Haven't even seen Firestar for pre-order unless sold out super fast.
