Social Toy Collectors Thread

New old joes means the ones from the 80s and 90s. Im so mad about them going 6 inch im not buyin any of that crap . You can have all of that.
You gonna rehabilitate the old stuff?

From yojoe.com, the old stuff looks pretty crude where like barely any effort to do a decent sculpt.

Haha,I remember you said that last yr when I mentioned that people wanted the 6 inch and been waiting to see if you would ever get them.

Yea dude im totally hostile towards the new line. My toys are all 3 3/4 so everyone can play with everyone else and freakishly tall joes without 0 rings are not something i am into at all.

I want a transformers series in that scale but the figures would be huge probably pricey and wouldnt sell well ... but i can still wish.

Quick kick being able to drive bumblebee would make me so happy.

Some stuff you can.

I dont care about the level of detail. I care about them being the joes of my youth. It was maybe some new vehicles or bases to play with that i hoped for with a new set.

Im not into displaying them nicely im into playing with them like how i did when i was a kid. I play with my toys dude and use them to tell myself stories. Thats why scale matters so much to me unless i got something out of scale on purpose to be a big scary monster.

Yeah guy I know is the same way about the 6inch line. He is a die hard Joe guy and only wants 3.75 sizes. He has a ton of original stuff and the Air carrier. It takes up his whole coffee table in his living room.

He is also into transformers, ghost busters and He-Man. He bought 2 of the Transformer/Ghostbuster colab that just came out.

I also prefer everything crossing over in same scale, but sometimes make exceptions. I passed on ordering some Macross plastic model kit reissues since they aren't 1/144 scale like my Gundams.

I would like to have some 3D printed 1/144 people for Gundam and 1/64 people for Hot Wheels. I bought the Hot Wheels mainline Star Trek Enterprise, but refused to buy the bad guy ship because it's around same size, but supposed to be way bigger than Enterprise.

Sounds like me and your bud would get along well and hes got a good head on his shoulders.

I dont have the aircraft carrier. I hate that there are no orher navy ships to protect it and i hate that there arent close to enough navy joes to staff it.

I got some serious compulsive issues that come out when it comes to my toys.

I built a 5 humvee unit for my joes after watching generation kill. I need to get them some air and armor support

Feels like I haven't supported the economy by ordering anything in ages. I've seen some stuff I pre-ordered but not received yet already in stores very briefly.

Haven't seen any G.I. Joe Classified anywhere in person.

I did get a Lego Minifigure numbchuks martial arts guy and promptly squirted hand sanitizer on my hands and the package. Wouldn't mind having the Red Ranger because I suspect they'll release the other colored Rangers later.

I saw this video of the G.I. Joe Classified Destro having a head variant where one doesn't have the stupid oval cast into the top of the head. Both the Destros in this video have all black shoulders, but mine has greenish gray Ruffles potato chips shoulders and nipple coverings. So there's at least 3 variants.

Maybe I can find a Duke without the stupid gold shinguards.

My kids have got over 2,000 worth of action figures, and probably closer to 3000.

A factory sealed one is going for around $9K on ebay right now.
I know my gawd

That’s just the beginning. I had the transformers Dinobot that turned into a base.. 30 original transformers.. all original he-man..

All my friends had the ninja turtles, but I only had a few. If I had all the toys of my childhood, including the Star Wars originals my older siblings gave me I disregarded, in boxes, I’d have 100k. Hell, my kids collection would start to be worth something.

I tell every parent that if they give their child some toys tell them to pick just one and never open it.

S.H. Figuarts Thanos is up.

4 for 1 stock split coming soon.

I wish I bought stocks instead of baseball cards and comics as a kid.

The only things I regret not buying and saving are an original G.I. Joe Cobra Rattler and Bitcoin. Other than that, I'm good. Go with the flow, bro. :)

Still didn't see any G.I. Joe Target exclusives, but did see at Target for the first time S.H. Figuarts base Goku Saiyan Raised on Earth for $35. Looks around the size of Dragon Stars SSJ Teen Gohan.

Pretty sure I got a Lego CMF Red Ranger. Didn't open it yet.
