What?

Did I miss something?
I only recently started paying attention to Star Wars action figures and it seems every year there's a Force Friday (Oct. 4, 2019 midnight) where Disney lifts the embargo and allows stores to start selling new Star Wars toys. Some stores don't comply and sell earlier, some will not stay open past midnight to sell ASAP to Star Wars nerds. Some stores put the stuff out early, but the registers won't ring them up until the restricted date. I didn't see any new stuff in stores, but they cleared out all old Star Wars stuff. Today there was a Youtube 45 min vid of various actors getting a first look at the new toys and Lego sets.

I don't know exactly what they'll have I want to buy aside from a 6" Mandalorian, maybe IG-11, 3.75" X-Wing pilot Luke to replace my original one that looks like Charlie Brown. I recently bought a $3 clearance 5POA 3.75" Chewbacca also to replace the original low effort sculpt.

Gina Carano action figure. Didn't quite get the boobs big enough. I think the dot on her face is some Star Wars logo.

At Target I saw this Hero Force Stealth Fighter Jet and considered buying it since it seemed to be imitation GI Joe scale but it had these fat bombs under the wings. I saw someone post about the GI Joe fake F-14 and now I'm wondering if I can buy a plastic model fighter jet in 1/18 scale and put a GI Joe in there to pilot it.

I never heard of jets in 1/18 scale. Even 1/48 scale seemed big, but if a GI Joe will fit inside, I'll make an exception. I think Lego and Mega Construx are 1/48 scale, so maybe I'll try 1/48 jet if the canopy opens and closes.

Edit: According to yojoes.com, the original F-14 was like $15 retail, the 2016 or 2017 re-release was well over $100 retail!

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one...

I never before took a look at Amazing Yamaguchi and never considered buying a single piece for $66 + international shipping. Looks like quality Japanese craftsmanship.

Never heard of them before but googled now and they make beautiful stuff.

I prefer the first GI Joe 3.75" Stormshadow look with the white costume, sleeveless, forearm wraps, Cobra logo, but the face sculpt was shitty.

I believe it was so hard to find, a buddy had to help me locate it. Never could get a Snake Eyes.
I had the old school snake eyes and storm shadows as a kid.

My Zartran was one of my varieties as well.

Does Zartan now identify himself as a woman? I remember mine was kinda sticky like it was a different type of plastic that maybe changed colors.

Bought this Spider-Man Far From Home regular Blu Ray Walmart exclusive that came with what looks like a 3.75" 5POA "retro" Night Monkey action figure. The store only had around 7 units. I preferred to buy the 4K disc, but this action figure fever is influencing my behavior. Maybe I can pretend he's Snake Eyes. The card back seems to indicate the Venom Blu Ray and Into The Spiderverse Blu Ray also came with action figures, so there's now 3 in this series. Didn't say Hasbro, so don't know who made these.

Also bought a clearance $4.98 5POA Han Solo to go with my clearance $3 5POA Chewbacca. I think the only original Star Wars figure left to upgrade is X-Wing Luke. Didn't have any of the other Lukes like farm boy Luke, ESB Luke, ROTJ Luke.

Did anyone here buy an Articulated Icons white deluxe ninja to make a custom 6" Storm Shadow? Kinda itching to try it, but don't know about the quality of these.

Pick up this badass Jim Superman today

I am gonna track down the older black and white one now but this one is so cool
I saw from a video blurb there's going to be a MAFEX No. 108 Spider-Man with this same comic art shading. I think it's on pre-order for around $70. Looks like Mark Bagley style head.

I might order this, but what are the chances Hasbro starts making these comic shaded figures? I'd rather buy for $19 than for $70-84. If DC makes these, Hasbro has to have their own in the pipeline, right?

Just online ordered two Star Wars Triple Force Friday items, so won't need to run around like a retard tomorrow looking for them. Seems just some things are available Fri and a bunch available at a later date.

Also one piece away from assembling the BAF Wendigo. I saw today someone stole a Smart Hulk BAF leg from the Black Panther girl Marvel Legends.

Edit: Around one hour later, much of the Star Wars new stuff is temporarily out of stock. I even saw some 3rd party listings from scalpers asking ridiculous prices.

Yea oldschool zartan changes color if you get him wet and he has a strange texture compared to other joes

I've been wanting to build a 1/72 or maybe 1/144 scale F-15 and saw a Transformers Starscream F-15 in plane mode and wondering if I should pursue Starscream if it looks nice in F-15 mode. Or maybe the other Decepticon F-15s.

Are you building a model from a kit or are you going to homebrew it with other figs?

I'm leaning towards 1/72 Hasegawa F-15E because the toy Transformers Starscream might fall apart due to transformation mechanics. If plastic model, I'm gonna try to paint it like Starscream Gundam RX-78 colors. I also don't know what's a good Starscream Transformer that turns into a decent F-15 in the same scale as my existing squadron of 1/72 or 1/144.

I need to research if 1/18 or 1/48 plastic models are built to have canopy open and close. I don't think I want to glue a GI Joe or Mega Construx or Lego minifigure in the cockpit forever.

I got a lightbox and lights to try and take pics. This is my first one.

I read a review of the HyperReal Darth Vader saying it was hard to pose and reviewer accidentally snapped something and broke the arm.

That's AMAZING!

Thanks Man. I kinda just figured What If Darth trained Eleven. I could hear him "Let Me Show You Your True Power'.

But I am gonna try to take more pic with this setup and checking out how they do it on IG. It looks hard as hell but fuck it. I can get there.

Its feels like a hard Barbie for the 90s. It moves but not at sharp angles. 60 degrees at joints at most.

But this pic was with my Disney die cast figure.

Picked this up recently. It looks way better in person in a darker light. It's hard to find a good Daredevil sculpt and to me this is probably the best one.

I really want a good set of TMNT figures. I think the Playmates classic series is probably ideal but they aren't cheap. It's my goal to get cartoon-accurate toys of all of my favorite cartoons growing up. Transformers is complete. TMNT, GI Joe, He-man and a few others left.

Extremely tempted to get these as well....

$91 for the set which isn't too bad.
