Social Toy Collectors Thread

I've got a bunch of cardbacks and boxes to throw away. I don't buy duplicates and it's a matter of time before I open.

I have an unopened Power of the Force muscular Boba Fett I kept unopened for many years and I think it's available new for not a lot more than original retail price.

I've got Marvel Universe 3.75" comic two pack Hulk & John Byrne Cyclops unopened. Since Hasbro discontinued that scale, I can't really add to that collection. I did see a Black Widow vs Street Fighter Ryu in similar if not same scale, but the Ryu was poorly done.

The other day Disney Store had a gigantic Boba Fett for $25. No idea on articulation. The paint detail was good. Maybe I should go back and buy one.

EDIT:

13.5" fully articulated talking Boba Fett.

I got a really nice Winter Soldier and Hulkbuster from the Disney store. I check it from time to time to see if they have any new hotness.

Damn dude, you know photography too? I need to up my game with pics
Life long photographer, don’t do it as much as I used to but I started around 8yrs old with my own camera alongside my dad.

Was always more focused on nature photography, but I’ve shot all styles pretty much over the years hear and there.

I went off into the macro world pretty heavy for a while too.

Build my own custom extension tubes and focus rails and stuff, like deep off into macro. Focus stacking , reverse lensing , double lensing.

Really technically challenging stuff.

I collect and display them in my man-cave.

I'm thinking of putting in an arcade cabinet also.

Arcade cabinet would be an awesome addition to any man cave!

Are they conversation starters or just there bc you dig em?

The only Marvel Select I saw at Disney Store was maybe Wasp, which may not have sold in over a year.

I'm reluctant to stray into a non-Marvel Legends scale, but am interested in the Marvel Select Colossus which I think looks better than the current 80th anniversary Marvel Legends Colossus where the shoulder pads are too short and face sculpt not right.

In the past several months, my modern Marvel and Star Wars action figure total went up a lot. Some are on the shelf, some are in a box, some unopened for now. I feel like there's just a few more I'm interested in buying, but I'm itching to see what's next.

These days I'm looking at stuff and wondering what custom could I turn that into... without incurring too much additional cost like buying a ton of other random figures for parts.

I might buy that 13.5" talking Boba Fett as a conversation piece.

Ever make it out to Albuquerque for the Ballon Festival. It's going on right now and is called the Most Photographed event in the world every yr. I got some Photos I will post in the photographer thread laters.

Man!

I've been gaming since my trusty ol' commodore-64 with a cassette tape drive! :) I've always loved the arcade and I just really want one in my cave! I've got a spot all picked out too. Been thinking about...

Thanks God you real bout it. I thought you was gonna post one of them tiny 1Up arcades. They look neat but are way to small for a normal Sherdooger.

I want a full size table top MRS.Pacman and Galaxa machine like the ones Pizza Hunt had.

My brother had one made with about 600 games in it, full-size.

I'm guessing arcade cabinets with modern computer stuff in there gets hot fast.

I have not, I have many friends that have and I am aware of the event(I don’t keep up with it and didn’t know it was happening again right now)

It’s always looked like a cool event I’ve nust never gone.

Post them up when you get a chance.

I have planned to get an old one of those to restore or build a new one from scratch for several years.

That’s exaclty what I want a table Galaga machine.

I got my kid an arcade one up and he loved it(house got broken into when I was traveling and it was stolen) he misses it like crazy

He’s 5 so it’s perfect size for him. Sitting on an automan it was fine for me to play with him and with one of the risers it would have lasted for a while with him as he grew.

I researched modifying it and putting an old pc in it with retro arch or another emulator in it.

They are a good jumping off point imo to get into it with.

The opposite actually. You can get a raspberry PI setup to emulate a whole boatload of games and install it into a cabinet. There's companies that'll taylor make it for you.

The new Pi 4 is said to get really hot really fast and throttle. I saw a custom heatsink with cutouts that basically covers the whole top to contact all the hot chips. They said using it without heat sink and fan with a covered Pi case is a really bad idea.

What I saw in the article was similar to this, but was meant to be glued on. This one here looks like it screws together like a case.
