Ordered this Mega Construx He-Man 5 pack while still available and for a good price. I had earlier bought Man-At-Arms first chance I had at Walmart, and months later saw it for clearance for less than half price. I need to buy Stratos, then I can feel at ease. They can fight my existing Halo blind bag characters. I wish I had bought the Marvel Mega Bloks blind bags.

Should I buy these Uncle Milton Discovery Lab Mini Lightsabers?

Pros:

-Lightsaber that lights up a tiny bit
-I'm a Star Wars nut and have Star Wars fever
-Saw a bunch at Walmart and no idea if they'll be wiped out and never seen again, and seems like one of those things I might regret not buying when I had the chance
-They come with a nice display stand
-I might be able to stick a small real flashlight in there to make it brighter

Cons:

-I think they use unusual batteries that might be hard to find
-They don't seem to glow very bright even in the dark
-Amazon reviews said they're shitty and break fast and don't fit right
-I already have a nice $22 Disney Store toy lightsaber with nice strong LED glow

Nah don’t buy that. Especially since you have similar one from Disney.

I don’t have much room anymore so I have to choose wisely what I get - saves me money too.

Yeah, I must guard against my Star Wars fever making me make bad purchase decisions. The Disney Store toy lightsabers are far superior and just cost a bit more.

I almost bought an Old Navy Star Wars Rise of Skywalker t-shirt, but didn't because it looked like a large women's t-shirt rather than men's. It's a matter of time before Walmart and Target sell their own.

Ordered one of these Marvel Select Colossus. Looks nice. The hips don't move normally like Marvel Legends. The shoulder pads and proportions are better than the 80th Anniversary Marvel Legends.

For Giant-Sized X-Men, I now have Colossus, Nightcrawler, Sunfire, blue & yellow Wolverine on the way, but the blue looks to be too dark.

Picked these up on Sunday as I was just browsing through my local brick and mortar store. I got the Mandalorian because Boba Fett and the Inquisitor has a lot of attachments and looks really cool.

I ordered my 6" Mandalorian regular version the night of Triple Force Friday and never saw it in stores. The suspicious thing is Brickseek said the local Target here had over 20 pieces of it before TFF, but they got wiped out before TFF and they were supposed to be register locked so people couldn't buy early. They also said the Target restocked and should have had like over 10 pieces, but I didn't see any on the sales floor. Glad I ordered online instead of dealing with these shenanigans.

Gina Carano's character is going to have a 3.75" version (likeness not as accurate as the 6" version), which I'll pass on. I'll buy Mandalorian again in 3.75" scale later.

Also developed an itch to buy the current Marvel Legends Endgame Wave War Machine which looks good bulked up on PEDs.

Upcoming Marvel Legends Shang Chi as 6" G.I. Joe Quick Kick? There's also an upcoming comic Winter Soldier that might make a custom G.I. Joe or Cobra character.

Did you buy any of those Articulated Icons? Quality? I'll wait til next year to see if Hasbro makes 6" G.I. Joe for the Snake Eyes movie since those Articulated Icons are likely more expensive than possible legit 6" G.I. Joe.

The white ninja I saw had long sleeves, not short sleeves like original Stormshadow. I thought maybe I could attempt to draw the Cobra logo with a fine tipped Sharpie if I bought it. I thought I saw an alternate parts pack that did have alternate arms with short sleeves.

From seeing the Erik Killmonger military costume & nice assault rifle, Night Thrasher, Winter Soldier, Paladin, I'm guessing Hasbro can easily re-use the tooling for G.I. Joe 6". I listened to a short podcast with Dwight from Hasbro and he says when they decide on investing in expensive new tooling, they like to be able to use it for multiple characters.

No I never seen the Icons IRL. Just seen that someone posted them on IG and thought you might be the one looking for that. I talk to a buddy of mine that has the whole GI Joe set and say no one in the GI Joe club he is in wants a 6inch. They love the 3.75 or whatever. I told people looking for the 6 inch now.

Vehicles for 6" would be more difficult and expensive. I recently opened a bunch of 3.75" Star Wars Vintage Collection and a bunch of Marvel Legends and Star Wars 6". The likenesses are better on 6", as are the details and sturdiness. I saw a new 3.75" award ceremony Leia at Target and the head was so damned tiny. With the new X-Wing pilot Luke and some stormtroopers, the elbows and knees are a bit stuck and I'm afraid I might snap them if I apply too much force in the wrong direction.

The newer live action movie and CGI cartoon G.I. Joes I saw in whatever scale including bigger scale looked really abnormal in proportions.

I'm seeing quite a bit of 6" custom made G.I. Joes using Marvel Legends, DC, or Articulated Icons.

Me too, I want the same scale to add to existing stuff, but the thing is the existing stuff I can dig out is really loose or feeling really fragile like it's gonna shatter if I try to unscrew to replace the torso o-ring.

I kinda want a VAMP jeep... and the motorcycle with sidecar machine gun.

I was only able to buy 5 characters of the 4" Marvel Universe figures, and wasn't actively looking for them. The classic Spider-Man and classic Iron Man I opened are also in slightly screwy proportions and appearance especially compared to 6" Marvel Legends.

The thing I liked about the Marvel Universe line was I could buy such a wide range of characters at a lower 4" price and the super articulation. When I look at internet pics of the lineup, quite a few don't look right.

You can get a lot of funschool guys in package and good as new for way cheaper than the hasbro ones depending on how picky you are. I like opening new guys so this is something I like alot. Theres crosstitch or needle point tool I dont know the name of that has a backwards hook that is perfect for changing o rings. Ill have to ask my sister what that things called and get back to you . If they make anything new I want it to be like 84-94 and not have the extra loose joints or the extra midsection joint that makes them flimsy . Toy collecting used joes is always a crap shoot. It irritates me when they look perfect but are super worn out a great deal . I wish id thought to ask my mom all her joe repair techniques before she died I swear she was a grandmaster and could run a business doing just that if she was still around. We were poor and I was very attached to my joes.

A quick search of ebay tells me the going rate is about 70 bucks give or take depending on how bad you gotta have it.

You could probably hunt parts and get it for next to nothing if you are willing to be patient though

I bought a few DBZ Figure-rise Standard plastic model figures, and from building those, I've seen how modern action figure articulation and construction evolved. They sometimes use balljoints for torso to make ab crunch, so no o-rings needed. I'm sure some smart guy already figured out a way to retrofix a 3D printed balljoint ball into some sort of silicone ballcup somehow installed inside the torso.

Actually, I think I saw a He-Man repair Youtube vid where the guy may have used a paper clip or twist tie to thread some replacement rubber leg plugs into the torso loop.

Yea I dislike that modern ball torso a lot. Its why I really hated those joes they did in like 2011 or whatever. I still to this day think the 3 inch joes are the pinnacle of action figures and things have been downhill since. But im stuffy like that and my wife says im extremely resistant to change

I either read or heard on podcast some people are using the vehicle blueprints to make 3D printed parts for vehicles. The thing with 3D printing is due to shrinkage, it's hard to get precise output.
