Social Toy Collectors Thread

@Smokes I was in Target today and they had a lot of Godzilla items. I picked up a Gundam Banshee Norn action figure there. I had the Unicorn, but I didn't know the Norn was in the pipeline.

Just a heads up. :)
 
I skipped checking Target today, even though I need yogurt, since I couldn't think of anything I want to hunt that would likely be there.

I do miss Toys R Us.

I did see people today post their Walmart G.I. Joe Retro were shipping in a day or so, but when I got my email it said 12/1.
 
Walmart exclusive G.I. Joe Retro Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow pre-order available right now. Don't blink. No HISS tank though.
 
After comparing the Caliban BAF Gambit with the upcoming Vintage Gambit, the Vintage one's head does look a lot better. Buyer's remorse.
 
I saw pics of what looks like some Chinese website showing something about Return to Cobra Island and some ugly re-design of Crimson Guard, ok looking possibly Beach Head and Lowlight.
 
I saw a rumor tomorrow's Marvel Monday will be Marvel Legends Vision & Scarlett Witch 2 pack that might be the MCU re-release. I wanted a classic comic Vision. The Retro/Vintage Vision is hard to find at a good price.
 
Saw a HISS tank at my local walmart today.. Almost popped on it but I just wasn't feeling it.

I have a feeling I might regret not buying this Vintage Retro cartoon Black Cat, who needs more cleavage on display. The head sculpt is above average for Marvel Legends. Seems like most if not all main Spidey characters were well done so far especially with this recent Retro series. The Retro Spidey is pretty good.

If I saw HISS Tank in Walmart, I'd be so happy to buy one. Seems like AWE Striker might be here in one store, but no other Retro. I'm not confident in my pre-orders being fulfilled after seeing posts about cancellations.

I really need to at least see sneak peeks of more G.I. Joe Classified or Retro releases.

Anyone know a safe way to fix loose G.I. Joe hip joints? I saw youtube vids, but not convinced whatever they used is safe for humans or safe for the plastic. I think I need some thin coating of some sort of polycap-like soft plastic on the metal balls. The hard plastic itself feels fragile.
 
Woke up and saw a bunch of people reporting their Day 1 pre-orders of Walmart G.I. Joe Retro SE & SS canceled, then saw what looked like HISS Tank pre-order available, but unavailable when I went to order one.

My pre-order SS & SE so far don't appear to be canceled, but say delivery by tomorrow, but no indication of being close to being shipped. I have a feeling I might never see these in stores at all.

i wasn’t going to shell out the $$$ for that dope One:12 set since toys/figures aren’t typically my jam as far as my collecting habits go, but i might preorder this much cheaper retro-style set for myself or for my buddy who is an even bigger mark for The Warriors than i am

Is there gonna be any Hasbro presence at NYCC? I tried to search for schedule and only found like TV/Movie panels and incomplete schedule.

This Fri seems to be Hasbro Star Wars Fan First Fri.

Luckily so far got Walmart email saying GI Joe Retro SE & SS delayed. I've read a lot of posts that make them seem notorious for canceling pre-orders.

Disney Toybox Mando + The Child looks good, but already have Black Series Beskar on pre-order.

All the local places aren't allowing games (and looks like it may be a long time before they do again). I've got a feeling this is going to kill my play group.

I still go by and grab my comics and boosters. I don't get my stuff online unless, it's sold out there. Gotta keep them afloat for when this is over.
 
Just seen the whole line up of the Movie X-Men legends line up at Target. The look cool. Might buy them for when the sentenal comes in.

Also waiting for my first Mythic Legions figs to come in. I don't know why but something about the line up speaks to me. Knight, Orc, Vamps,Elves and shit. And I am not even a Lord of the Rings fans, they just seem like grown up He-Man that tell a new story.
