Social Toy Collectors Thread

Probably waiting for today's tariff to be decided .

Don't get me started but this could have ALL been avoided.

That's all I'll say about that outside of the War Room.

I bought the full run of the Crystar and the Crystal Warriors comics a few years ago since I had them as a kid and lived them.

I didn't know anything about the character TBF but it's from the era I grew up with so I bit on him and he looks cool , so...I think it's Strychnine who liked him when he was announced?

I picked up a SW Funko ( 1st one ) a few days ago...

And on the day out today , the young lady said to us that she enjoys going out with us guys as ( paraphrasing) ' you guys just get the nerding out thing as my girlfriends don't get Thundercats or Transformers and I can just relax and happily nerd out with you lot....'

And yes, it's been a while since any woman reckoned I gave her pleasure so I'll take that !!!

Been after a nice Conan figure for ages... always liked Frazetta , so.... expensive for what it is but these sell out over here normally. Hopefully it might work with the Red Sonja I posted a while ago.

If not I hope it works with the skeletal figures in the Red Sonja line to give Conan a ' bad guy' to fight...

And picked up the 1/12 scale Red Sonja too...no bad guys available though...

Out of curiosity, does anyone here actually read my breakdown of my building experiences? I know there are only a couple of us that build sets, but I thought giving some insight into them might encourage or discourage buying the set.

Action Force designated marksman "Blowback" from the independent Action Force toy line

Hasbro G.I. Joe 60th anniversary USMC Sniper figure.

They both come with Ghillie suits (cloth/soft goods, weapons cases) and a lot of detail.

That's not Action Force ....

THIS is Action Force.

From 30 seconds..

Interesting how you Colonials forced us poor Brits to use your GIJoe figures and repaint them to use in our toy ranges...

( From around 7 minutes in the video)

Yup, religiously in fact. I find them very informative and useful. I've looked at some of the sets for ages and your photos and comments are better than the company ones that you know they are flogging the product...

Some of those mech brick sets are on my list...

At the last count however I had two sets in progress and 14 Lego sets waiting to be built ....

@Batjester

Edit: Thanks for the time taken BTW. It's also nice knowing you can pick up a decent set cheaper than Lego and something a bit more adult or violent than Lego who tend to avoid guns or military stuff

I could have bought the sniper woman and the "Pilot" parachute guy cheap, but was in one of those phases questioning how much of this do I need to buy and never saw them again for a second chance to reconsider. Even ML comic Ikaris got wiped out fast cheap.

I think I gots water gun fever. At Daiso, I saw three different variations made in China with printed price like 700 yen and 500 yen. Quality looked decent, not absolutely sure if trigger or pump and trigger. One looked like Mospeada small blaster and had two diff color scheme versions. One looked like decent scifi assault rifle.

I'm not a builder or even a collector really but I enjoy your posts. I like that you take the time to share pictures and describe how the build went. I mean, you're still a giant nerd on a karate forum who plays with toys but I can't stop reading this thread. I appreciate your contributions.

Maybe yours is at the porch pirate's house?

I got no email re: shipped or any tracking info or anything. They should let you know when to stay home and wait for it.

Nah, my 80lb King Shepherd goes bonkers whenever a leaf touches the porch. Trust me, no porch pirate wants a whirling dervish of fangs and claws going for the throat over a package. ;)

ABSOLUTELY. It's great stuff for the thread!
