This thing is fucking AWESOME!!!
The colors all have a metallic cost to them except the black pieces. Lots of cool building techniques, especially on the side arm pieces/shields.
Being off brand I wasn't sure how it would go, but the instructions were good (got mixed up on a few things, but I was doing this all night - literally started about 6 pm and worked on it until 8am, took a nap and finished it just now).
The way it was packaged was really interesting. Normally you get a bunch of big bags with one or two smaller ones inside. These come in one huge bag, and then there were 4-5 bags under each "number", that were also numbered, so I ended up with five #1's etc.
The pieces for the most part fit really tight which is both good and bad (taking them apart if you screw up is a bitch). Joints are tight and will help to keep it from sagging or falling over.
This is beefy and really heavy, once again both good and bad. It would be nice if it had a stand.
The side skirts are a bit heavy for the connection points so they like to fall off.
If they did a few minor tweeks giving more connection points it would help.
That sword is INSANE and heavy, so I doubt it would work being held up, but works great as a third point soft contact.
There weren't many stickers (maybe a dozen) but they fucking suck. The smaller ones like the dual lines don't stay on, and they are all just a bit too big for the pieces they go on. Complete pain in the ass to take off the sheet (although the sheet is really nice and heavy so you don't have to worry about tearing them).
The pieces also have what I am pretty sure is a lubricant or coating that will stain your fingers. No eating Cheetoes while building. They give you a ton of extra pieces, and ones you wouldn't normally expect - I actually thought I missed something.
Amazon screwed up and relieved it to the wrong place, so after talking with them they are sending a replacement and giving me a free month of Prime. Yay me. Then I went out searching the neighborhood and found the original. No, I'm not returning the replacement since it won't even get here until Sunday.
Overall I am really impressed with this and have already ordered 2 more. Solid 8.5 snd would have been higher without the stickers being a PITA, and some minor construction issues.

And here's why.
So this green machine is only 542 pieces, so about 1/3 the number as Big Red.
All the pieces went together really well. Still tight, and the joints are solid. This thing has even more joints than the other one and can be posed in a ton more ways.
It had about twice as many stickers, but they all peeled easily and went on without any problems.
Not nearly as "metalic", but I love the colors and the "clear" colored look good.
The head was one solid piece which I really appreciated. One of the shoulder pieces is a bit loose, but it is proped up really well so it shouldn't be an issue.
Another sweet weapon with that ball and chain. It also has the twin guns that pop up from the back that shoot studs.
It was only $30 and worth every penny. Took me about 4 hours to build (has Pacific Rim on in the background to set the mood).
If you like building blocks or Mechwarrior I highly recommend. 9/10
Are all those from Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans? The first two are a bit recognizable.
Ended up buying a NURU XSHOT Micro Fast-Fill water gun 2 pack for $9.99. It has trigger, not jerk off pump action. I watched a youtube vid before deciding on this one. There's at least another model with less capacity, so not sure why this one's named Micro.
Amazon 3rd party price was like $20+, Walmart with unwanted balloons was $17+.
Seems like there's at least one hole where it looks like QC failure or cost cutting where they skipped a screw. My OCD might make me try to buy a screw and put it in there... not knowing what size screw was intended.
EDIT: Unboxed this and apparently the holes that looked like factory worker forgot a screw or two was actually there to anchor the product to the packaging via plastic spikes like used in car trunks to fasten carpet inside. Seems like the entire body isn't for holding water due to hole in the handle and underside of the barrel.

These don't appear to have any licensing behind the mechs.
I *may* have an addiction to these. I already have two more showing up tomorrow - an extra of the big guy, and one with a cool looking dragon coming off it's back - and I just bought 3 more. One called the Monkey King, one based off of a bull, and the third is based off a white tiger. All three together including taxes was only $120 and combined will be around 3700 pieces. Trying to get the same size sets in Lego would probably be 3x that.
Saw this XSHOT Hydro Cannon at the store and probably could have bought it relatively cheap. Had to study it on youtube first. Seems like not motorized, no trigger, but shoots via tugging on the front handle. The gatling gun part just spins and water comes from middle hole. Has a strap to wear it. Shooting seems awkward. Seems to have good capacity.

So I just finished this guy (was working on a different one that I'm letting the glue dry (yes I HAD to glue some of it because... I'll get into it when I post the pics).
This is from a company called Sludan and I'm VERY impressed with everything minus one small issue.
Everything went together without any real issues. Had one area that took a bit to get together, but nothing major.
The joints range from VERY tight (knees) to a little too loose (hips). For the most part they hold up to various poses really well.
Speaking of, this thing has as much if not more articulation than most action figures.
Weapons are pretty cool, but a tad heavy. They can be attached to the back or held in his hands.
The tiger motif is really cool and well done. Love the eyes. I really like the gold accents.
I think I may have been missing one piece, but it could have got dropped. They provide a ton of extras. Maybe too many.
The directions are... different. The set had 12 bags, but each stage you could use pieces from different bags. Confused the hell outta me on the 1st step, but once you take your head outta your ass and see that they actually tell you what bags you're using it wasn't an issue.
There are a variable fuck ton of stickers. Probably around 60. The good news is they all are easy to apply and if you get them off center a bit they come off super easy to reapply.
The hips being a little loose and only able to swing out to the sides is a bit annoying. But that can also be fixed with green putty easily enough.
All In all I love this set and how it looks. Took about 8 hours or so to finish (stickers added to the time obviously). 679 pieces for only just over $30 means it's well worth the price and I'm going to get more from this company for sure.
9.25 outta 10. Add a few printed pieces and stiffen up those hips joints and it's a 10/10.

OK, now onto the build that I nearly threw against a wall MULTIPLE TIMES! This thing pissed me off so bad lol.
So to start with we have the stand. This thing was a God send and I love it. Wish every set came with one. No real issues here that weren't of my own doing.
Next we have the dragon and here js where the issues start. I am missing on of the pieces for the ridge of it's spine, and because of the shape I don't have any extras. Bummer. Next I'm missing BOTH pieces for one of the claws, again no substitute. This mother is fragile and the bottom part of the tail is too long so the peg keeps falling out of the ball joint. Even gluing didn't fix the problem. Ended up removing 2 sections and that seems to have solved that problem. All the pieces are hard plastic so putting the claws on was flirting with impaling myself.
Now on to the main body. Fuck this made me mad. The ball joint on the left leg

Now the big issue was the chest. The way they designed it to get the curve was stupid. In order to put it in place you have to pust down, which pops off all the connecting pieces. Damn thing exploded on me about a dozen times. Glue only helped a little and I ended up modifying it to get it to work.
Oh, and see that cool looking should piece on the left arm? Yeah, that fucker kept blowing up too because of bad engineering. Glue fixed that finally.
Now enough pitching and on to what I liked.
This thing is GORGEOUS. Seriously one of the best looking sets I've made.
The cloth cape is such a cool detail.
The spear (glaive?) is really cool and the little tassels are a nice touch.
The flame coming out of the dragon's mouth lights up (bit of a pain to twist it on though).
There were zero stickers, and once again that stand is great.
The directions were pretty good but they don't let you know when you're switching bags. Since they do give you extra pieces it was confusing the first bag.
1300 pieces for only $40 is a good deal.
How do I rate this? Build was a 1/10 being generous, but finished mech is a 10/10. Guess I'll split the difference. 6/10

So I put together my second JMBricklayer set yesterday. 1000% different building experience. The only "issues" I had were one self induced (curved areas around his head, I put them on wrong) and the two "wings" that cover his legs (added a brick so they stick out more).
Joints are all tight without being impossible to move. I was posing this guy in tons of different ways.
2 things that really stood out for me are fingers and how the torso came together. The fingers having rounded tips vs the usual flat or pointy tips is great. They look so much more "natural".
When putting the torso together it actually hinges and uses the piston like pieces to guide it all. Very cool.
That staff is beefy, but still not super heavy. Wasn't having any issues with it drooping.
The tail joints are perfect and can be posed almost any way you could want. That hoop is a cool touch.
No missing pieces and no stickers. Once again it came with a stand, and this one is very well designed.
Ladies and gentlemen I give you the Monkey King! 10/10
