Shogun, Rampage, Machida, Bader, Gus 2x, Cormier, Glover, Belfort, these are the best LHWs of all time and Jon dominated them all. How do you conveniently leave out those guys and just mentioned the lesser competition. And no, those guys were not out of their prime lol, they were direclty in their prime, let's not come with that BS.

What you have to understand is Jon fought the best at the time. So when he fought Santos, Reyes, Smith and OSP, that's after beating the entire division of greats. Those guys you mentioned were the best options at the time. The division got weaker. Every champion has some lower tier guys they fought.....GSP had Hardy, Serra, Koscheck and Anderson had Leitas, Lutter, Marquart, and Cote. Jon's competition exceed any champion.

Khabib in his championship fights lost rounds, he lost a round to Conor and to Gaethje. GSP dropped rounds, to BJ, Koscheck, 2 rounds to Shields, Condit, and 2 rounds to Hendricks. How do you get GSP having a "huge advantage" over Jones in rounds won vs lost, when he dropped 7 rounds?? And how do you claim Jones lost a lot of rounds late in his career?? He literally lost 2 rounds to Santos and Reyes, that's 4 rounds.

But modern mma fans are so stupid trying to say less is somehow more.
Any asshole can win a few big fights in his prime, to be a goat it's who can do it the longest threw different years of their life.

Shogun was inconsistent. Yes, he beat Machida for the title. He also lost to Forest Griffin and barely beat a 42 year old washed up Mark Coleman.

Rampage - how many eye pokes did Jone throw at him, and no points deducted? Dirty Jones

Gus 1 - controversial decision win; majority had Gus win by split. Jones being hospitalized said a lot.

Gus 2 - Jones had “picograms” in his system. The event had to be moved to Los Angeles because Jones couldn’t pass Vegas drug requirements with the Picograms in his system.

DC - got busted for cocaine in the first fight and turinabol in the second. Cheated twice, couldn’t fight fair and square.

GSP & Khabib never had to depend on steroids, eye pokes, dirty moves to win against their opponents. And most obvious, they never ducked anyone. Jones ducked Tom, held up the division so his sociopathic self can hold the HW title longer than Cain with 1 title defense against a 42 year old Stipe.

When people think of Jones legacy, people think controversies. When people think of GSP and Khabib, they think of a real legacy with zero to little flaws. Like I said, quality over quantity.
