DC.... meh
Marvel?
1) Galactus- the guy is so badass,
he isn't even really a villain. Just a
force of nature... Which makes him
indifferent, ambivalent & essentially,
amoral. His story with surfer is the
greatest intersection of philosophy
& comics, imo.
2) Apocalypse - first off, the fuckin
dude is ancient. & he looks cool as
hell. But apart from that- he is also
the x-men's most formidable enemy.
Magneto is probably more prolific,
in terms of appearances & ratio of
problems caused for the x-men.
But along with his four horsemen-
If you match them against magneto
& his crew... Theyd get embarassed.
3) Mr. Sinister - again, old as fuck
& cool as hell looking. Sinister is
another great example of a villain
that has his origins in amorality.
Started as a regular biologist &
lost his young son & his mind.
Basically if albert Einstein was
a psychopath & decided to make
it his life's work to gain unlimited
power.
4) Thanos - I mean, what the fuck?
Dude is a mad man floating around
in space like some ancient,
wandering cosmic gas cloud.. just
endlessly plotting UNIVERSAL
domination. Talk about ambition...
5) I hate putting anyone other than
Doom here, cause he certainly
deserves it based on powers, alone.
But I have to give it to
Kingpin aka DANA WHITE -
for a dude who isn't the
most powerful villain in the world,
he has still managed to amass a
group of rogue underground villains
formidable & organized enough to
squabble with likes of daredevil,
Punisher, spiderman, x-men, etc...
He is also the most earthly of all
the villains I've listed itt & for that,
deserved the spot over Doom.
Honorable mentions:
Mephisto, Super Skrull, Omega Red,
Silver Samurai, Fin Fang Foom
