Egon you made a lot of good picks for your DC list. I just don't see how johns ruined parallax. If anything Johns took an abysmal green lantern universe and made it amazing and basically reinvented the entire character but also stuck to his roots.

I also like Hank Henshaw and his constant thirst for death.

Black Adam is awesome and wish he was in the Marvel universe and Sinestro is as bad ass as it gets.

Ron Marz revitalized Green Lantern. Hal Jordan and his adventures were stale and godawful but DC turned it around when Hal went evil. Hal as a villain had so much gravity and complexity, his fall was so sad and yet made perfect sense.

I couldn't disagree more re: Green Lantern. Ron Marz and Kyle Rayner.

I like Kyle Rayner as well but the true GL is Hal Jordan and Johns run basically revitalized a character that most fans couldn't stand any longer.

I don't know which fans you are talking about. People loved Rayner, I know I did. I loved gl up until rebirth. Jodran is the worst iteration of GL by a country mile. Boring except when he was Parallax.

See I disagree completely.

The sales were through the roof when Johns soft rebooted GL. Sales weren't so good before that.

Johns also did a great job with Rayner as well. He drove the GL comics and didn't put Kyle, guy, or John on the back burner either.

IMO johns GL is the most consistent mainstream comic of that era. It stayed good for like 10 years.

Am I the only person who is tired of magneto.

he is bad thsn good, than bad than good, back to bad again.

And the Xmen defend this monster who has spent a lifetime killing their people as well as bringing mutant terrorism to the general public.

I never understood this.

Wolverine is the only guy who gets it and bit the bullet and lopped this old twats head off.

Sadly that was rebooted into a disaster

DC.... meh

Marvel?
1) Galactus- the guy is so badass,
he isn't even really a villain. Just a
force of nature... Which makes him
indifferent, ambivalent & essentially,
amoral. His story with surfer is the
greatest intersection of philosophy
& comics, imo.

2) Apocalypse - first off, the fuckin
dude is ancient. & he looks cool as
hell. But apart from that- he is also
the x-men's most formidable enemy.
Magneto is probably more prolific,
in terms of appearances & ratio of
problems caused for the x-men.
But along with his four horsemen-
If you match them against magneto
& his crew... Theyd get embarassed.

3) Mr. Sinister - again, old as fuck
& cool as hell looking. Sinister is
another great example of a villain
that has his origins in amorality.
Started as a regular biologist &
lost his young son & his mind.
Basically if albert Einstein was
a psychopath & decided to make
it his life's work to gain unlimited
power.

4) Thanos - I mean, what the fuck?
Dude is a mad man floating around
in space like some ancient,
wandering cosmic gas cloud.. just
endlessly plotting UNIVERSAL
domination. Talk about ambition...

5) I hate putting anyone other than
Doom here, cause he certainly
deserves it based on powers, alone.
But I have to give it to

Kingpin aka DANA WHITE -
images

for a dude who isn't the
most powerful villain in the world,
he has still managed to amass a
group of rogue underground villains
formidable & organized enough to
squabble with likes of daredevil,
Punisher, spiderman, x-men, etc...
He is also the most earthly of all
the villains I've listed itt & for that,
deserved the spot over Doom.

Honorable mentions:
Mephisto, Super Skrull, Omega Red,
Silver Samurai, Fin Fang Foom

great pick on kingpin. completely 4got about him

That's why the best villains are
amoral. You need sociopaths in
order to evoke true terror. When
they're only looking out for
themselves, that's when you see
the fullest capabilites of their
powers.

It's why we've never just seen
Magneto totally eviscerate
Wolverine. If the laws of power
were true & consistent... wolverine
would have met his superior when
he first came across magneto.

Guarantee you that if it were
Galactus face to face with wolverine-
He'd lock him in a portal for eternity.

Norman Osborn is such and underrated villain.

In recent times he came out from spider mans shadow and became the head of SHIELD and was the go to guy to bring down super villains.

He slickly crafted a bad ass team of Dark Avengers and was as underhanded and as dirty as it gets. Plus he's constantly being seduced by his evil green goblin side.

Well in all fairness magneto did far worse to wolverine by ripping out his ADAMANTIUM.

He didn't kill him though, did he?
Cause he could've in theory, if he
did it to the fullest extent of his
power

Well technically no he didn't kill him but that fucked wolverine up big time after that happened to him.

And yes magneto for all intents and purposes could've killed the Xmen many times over.

I'm just sick of him already and I kinda want his character to be killed off or somehow brought back to a younger version of himself.

I'm tired of the 70 year old magneto with 6 pack abs

Send him to the future imo
Have crypt keeper-Magneto
fight x-factor & see what he
can do to Cable's arm.
