I know what you mean but I don't think a toothpick is gonna kill you but could cause a serious problem if it got stuck in your throat. Imo very stupid move by bendil and makes me like him even less.

I'm pretty confident a toothpick could kill you. Any doctors in here(It's Sherdog what the hell am I asking?) or atleast someone who works in ER can confirm that a toothpick can kill you?

Me and my friend saw the toothpick in his mouth at the very end of he fight, and then when Joe said something about it, it confirmed it for me.

I watched the post fight presser a little while ago, and Bendo does admit that he had it in his mouth, and the went on to say that he usually has one in his mouth when he trains... honestly the vibe I got was that it is a nervous habbit, like he needs to fuck with a toothpick for some reason. Nate walked in a short time after and a reporter asked him what he thought about the tooth pick, Nate responded "I don't know if he did or not... but that's weird" everyone laughed.

I don't think it matters though, it obviously didn't affect anything.

I thought the same thing. Oral fixation or whatever. He's gonna have to find a way around it, because there's no way in hell he'll be able to sneak that in again. Can you imagine the headlines if a UFC champion died because of fighting with a toothpick in his mouth? Disaster.

This might change his game, honestly. If it's a nervous crutch, his game might not be the same anymore. But on the flip side, this shit coming to light could have saved his life.

I would imagine the toothpick is quite moist and "malleable" to where he can pack it in him gums to where it wont move at all. It would be just as dangerous as a tooth coming out and choking him to death. He doesn't just let it float around in there, he would obviously pack it in tight. Even if he got KOd, I couldn't see it coming loose. I used to sleep with gum in my mouth all the time and eve when the gum was rock hard, it stayed where I put it.

How is it any different? How do you think that a toothpick could possibly come loose from a punch to his face? What angle would that be possible at? If he packs it in tight, it wouldn't matter if he is conscious or not, no amount of punching or kicking would dislodge it.
