Randleman was the UFC’s heavyweight champion heading into his headlining title fight with Pedro Rizzo at UFC 24 in 2000, but a bizarre accident backstage forced the fight to be cancelled at the last minute.

Randleman had been warming up in his locker room before the fight when he somehow managed to slip on a pipe backstage and knocked himself out on the concrete floor beneath him. He was then taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a concussion.

I think it was MMA Reporters who talked about this happening, and how UFC should shuffle the fights to make sure Gracie remains as the 5000th fight.
