Ps, brother.

gonna download this today while I get drunk for St. Pat day and play tomorrow.

This sounds a lot better than the first one, it wasn't even on my radar until a friend mentioned they had fixed a lot of issues the first game had.

Addicted to this shit.

Just hit level 10! And so much to go lol
I'm lvl 15 right now and it just gets better and better, mate. From available mods to the gear itself plus skills, so much still to fight and die for. I'm pretty pumped to get my hands on some dyes but have only found one in a makeshift munitions warehouse (Jungle Green) and reckon finer customisation as such opens up later. I want to do an all black kit with yellow highlights – in the fashion of a hornet meets Sam Fisher.

After a lengthy feeling-out process, for this one I've opted in CQC for the SIG 716 (rifle) or then Military G36 (AR) – depending obviously on what I can scavenge or then steal until I acquire the models' respective blueprints. My secondary is the M44 carbine, which was love at first sight for me.

In what weapons have you guys been finding yourselves?

Early on, I would hold onto PP-19s (SMG) for their all-around reflexivity or then L86s (LMG) for their mayday-mayday feel but as my confidence grew so did my options on what I could wield. I feel the game pushes the Super 90 shotgun on me constantly but I just don't like their feel on this journey – ironic considering I'm a sucker for FarCry-style sawn shotguns à la D2 Sin Eater.

I've always fancied the Thompson's (SMG) look and here is no different but am ineffective with it when SHTF and become more a liability rather than deal-sealing operator. I stashed one for nostalgia's sake.

I'm waiting for a higher class tommy gun. That thing is amazing at short distance. I just created an M4 that does almost 10% health damage. My secondary is a Model 700 that deals 3.1k. Rifles are surprisingly effective in this game. The classic M1A with an extended mag would be amazing.

Nice. I don't like the reload time on the 700 if I remember right but yeah, it hits like a truck. I ran with an M1A as well; I liked it. And I'm a big fan of extended mags, lol. One of the worst feelings is when rushed, it's near toe-to-toe and just holding the trigger down hard to unload…then *click – you're out and get dusted. I reload like a banshee after almost every flurry or uncover, something I've drilled just to survive those singular conflicts. The AI in this game are no joke, always trying sneakily to flank me or then set up shop from afar while ordering doped-up berserkers to close the distance and walk me down. It can be multitasking hell.

I am using an M1A and a rare shotgun i got for pre-ordering. Thats my preferred combo, a accurate ranged weapon and a close high damage one, i think this game gives a sawed off as a pistol option and ill switch to that to free up a slot for a smg or burst rifle down the line.

Can we talk tech now? Did pulse always have such a slow ass reload time? And its range is shit too, it doesnt tag enemies i can clearly see. I tried to upgrade to where you could place it and it would continually pulse but its still not particularly helpful. I like the drone, low damage, but benefits from manueverability. I tried the gas thing in the beta and didnt care for it, want to try to sniper turret. What'd you guys use and how do you like it so far?

Two skill slots per loadout is hard to juggle given the array of options. I invested early in Firefly but I'm either not exploiting its battleground potential or it's simply not as effective as I'd hoped. Anyone a blackbelt with deploying a Ff variant?

Smart. That'd be solid to have two ranged options while holstering a heavy-hitter. I love that feeling of double-tapping to draw the weapon slotted there and then *pop pop pop. Some games, if I'm remembering right, will allow one to equip weapons like grenade launchers (like an M-79) or even a tactical Vector in that pistol slot – obviously with that opening up some cool loadout options.

Haha, yeah, Pulse is sketchy to me but it reads well on paper. I wouldn't invest in that yet (or more) because the corner map effectively shows fronts you're being attacked on, which is a more primitive albeit similar tool, IMO. Don't feel bad; I blew many a wad on Ff variants and feel like a dunce now.

I was actually planning on unlocking the gas one next (Chem Launcher's variant Oxidiser) as I have an unspent Skill point but now you've got me second-thinking it because the Turret is interesting to me too. The Elites I've fought who deploy it smartly walk away from where they station it, so they've doubled the positions you need worry for; that's very neat, tactically, and is fundamentally like 'cloning' yourself in that it's another attack source diverting enemy attention. Also, when I'm firing upon the turret, it can take a real beating before it cracks while my Striker and Defender drones seem like they cancel if someone even farts in the direction.

The Seeker Mines look awesome but the environmental conditions required to get a big W seem too situational. Two slots, dude… I need 4 at a minimum, lol.

I go Turret and Striker Drone. The Pulse sucks ass. The Lullaby hits like a truck.

For anyone hurting or getting thrown off their game when being rushed, invest in the Crusader shield. It's an amazing distance-facilitator affording moderate mobility so you can reposition and collect yourself. You will take more than just chip damage when being fired upon (it's not the riot-police variant) but you'll live to cover and re-kit.

Damnit. I promised myself I wouldn't buy another damn game this month. But your twos nerdspeak does it for me.

Hafta get div 2 today

Yeah i always try to throw the turret for a different angle. I figure it hitting with sniper shots at enemies run out of cover by the drone would be a great combo.

Last game had a third slot (clicking both L1&R1 at once) not sure if they dropped that or you gotta be further along to unlock it
